Afternoon everyone. This week has been all about texturing mainly. I configured the world generator to take (currently only 2) textures and make some nice landscapes from them. Its not beautiful, but its something See pics at the end of the post. I also got the VBO implementation installed into the game, but the FPS isn't as great as I thought it would be. There was a pesky multiplier stuck in the output string that made me think I was rendering 12 times more vertices than I really was. *sighs* FPS tests are still decent though, and I am working on speeding it up. And last but not least, I learned classes. Well, I already knew what classes did and knew all the theory behind them, I just had forgotten about them So now I am configuring some stuff to be done through classes, such as the scene setup, the chunk system, etc. Should clean-up the main file some and make debugging in the future go faster.
