There are six statistics in the game: Strength, Dexterity, Accuracy, Speed, Intelligence, and Hit Points. They are used in various situations for determining different things within the game, as explained below. Strength: Governs how much a player can carry and how much damage they deal in hand-to-hand combat. Also used for various other situations as determined by the GM. Dexterity: Governs a player's ability to use his hands rapidly; this includes fighting in hand-to-hand combat as well as performing skills like lockpicking and piloting, as well as other situations as determined by the GM. Accuracy: Governs a player's ability to aim at and hit targets with ranged weapons. Speed: Governs how far a player can move. Base speed is 3 squares, with modifiers adding or subtracting that to a minimum of 0. Intelligence: Governs a player's mental capacity and critical thinking skills, and is used for things such as spotting hidden enemies, hacking computer terminals, and other situations as determined by the GM. Hit Points: The amount of damage a player can take before he is incapacitated. Each statistic, aside from Hit Points, has a modifier associated with its value. The table for the modifiers for having a statistic at a certain value is as follows: 0-1: -5 modifier to rolls using that statistic 2-3: -4 4-5: -3 6-7: -2 8-9: -1 10-11: 0 11-12: +1 13-14: +2 15-16: +3 17-18: +4 19-20: +5 Edited by Nordak Johganis, Dec 13 2010, 09:56 PM.
