Equipment helps the player in various ways or can be used in battle. Some equipment can be attached to weapons, but weapons can only have 1 Attachment at a time unless otherwise stated. A player's carrying limit is equal to 50 lbs plus or minus 10 lbs for each modifier point of Strength the player has. At half of their carrying limit, a player's speed is reduced by 1. At 3/4 of their carrying limit, it is reduced by 2. At full carrying capacity, their speed is reduced by 3. Backpack: 1 lb. Player can carry extra non-attachment or weapon equipment with them, up to their carrying limit. Holster: 1 lb. Player can carry a pistol in addition to any other weapon they carry; or they may carry a second pistol if their primary is a pistol. Sling (attachment): 1 lb. Player can remove the weight of their rifle or carbine from their carrying limit. Does not count towards Attachment limit. 2x Sight (attachment): 1 lb. Player gets +2 on rolls to hit at Medium Range, +1 on rolls to hit at Long Range, and -2 on rolls to hit at Short Range Reflex Sight (attachment): 1 lb. Player gets +2 on rolls to hit at Short Range. 4x Sight (attachment): 1 lb. Player gets +4 on rolls to hit at Long Range and -4 on rolls to hit at Short Range Rangefinder (attachment): 1 lb. Long Range for weapon is increased by 2 squares. Underbarrel Flashlight (attachment): 1 lb. Provides illumination out to 10 squares; adds +1 to Spot Checks Foregrip (attachment): 1 lb. Penalty for shooting while moving is reduced to -1. Rail System (attachment): 1 lb. Player may attach 1 sight and 1 other attachment to their weapon. Hand Drill: 10 lbs. Basic mining equipment that allows the player to conduct mining. Power Drill: 20 lbs. Advanced mining equipment that gives the player +2 Ore per hour. Laser Drill: 22 lbs. Advanced mining equipment that gives the player +5 Ore per hour. Flak Jacket: 8 lbs. Player takes only 90% of weapon damage, rounding up. Light Armor: 20 lbs. Player takes only 75% of weapon damage, rounding up. Heavy Armor: 30 lbs. Player takes only 66% of weapon damage, rounding up. Breathing Mask: 3 lbs. Player can breathe in areas which require breathing masks Medipack: 2 lbs. Player may take 1 turn to heal D8+Dexterity modifier HP of damage to himself. Medipack is used up after that. Ore: 16 oz=1 lb. Used to craft items. Spice: 10 units=1 lb. Player may inject 1 unit of Spice at any time to give themselves a powerful random boost, determined by the GM on a D20. Continuous use may lead to addiction, however, which can have serious long-term consequences for statistics and overall health of the player. Is the short term gain worth the possible long-term pain?
