Dude With a Clue
|
![]() Everyone's been excited about it. It's been in the works for years. Does Skyward Sword live up to the high expectations set for it? This reviewer certainly thinks so. Gameplay: The gameplay is just like any other Zelda game, for the most part. If you've played Ocarina of Time/ Twilight Princess, you should know how this one works, but several additions put it above average. First off, the Wii Remote actually swings in the direction you want it to, and fighting enemies actually requires skill and some thinking. Especially on some of the later enemies, swinging the Wii Mote wildly will only result in you losing hearts. Most of the other items also use motion sensing, and do it quite well (I'm looking at you, Beetle). The one problem I have with the gameplay is stabs. Whether it's just me or not, it seems that forward thrusts are near impossible to pull off, and they happen to be one of the more used slashes. The item upgrader also works quite well, allowing you to upgrade the items which fit your playing style, yet doesn't break the game. Finally, it you don't spend upwards of 5 hours collecting bugs as soon as you can, there is something wrong with you! 9/10 ![]() Graphics: Really not much to say here. What you expected is what you got. Much better than any previous game, definitively, but that's to be expected. Good, but not rising above and beyond the call. 8/10 ![]() Music: Oh, man. The music in this game is schizophrenic. Some of it is amazingly good, some not-so-much. For instance, this music is just amazing. When you see where it is, going through that dungeon just feels so PERFECT! On the other hand, you have the Deep Woods music, that I'm just not a fan of. It's hard to give this category a correct grade, because people have different tastes. 8.5/10 Plot: Wow, where do I begin? This is probably the best story to date, and I loved Majoras Mask to death. Besides the fact that the main villain is a major nut-job, you have perfect amounts of Zelda+Link romance, funny Skyloft instances, and probably some of the most engaging story to date, especially in the second half. I don't want to spoil anything, but you are in for a treat! 10/10 Lifetime: Once again, this is a hard one. If you are just going through the story, it will take a decent amount of time, but nothing ridiculous. On the other hand, 100%ing it will take QUITE a while. I do like how they pulled it off, but some people might not. Even when you do suck it dry, bug catching will still be as addicting as ever! 9/10 Overall: I think this game is VERY good. The story invites both hardcore fans and n00bs alike, but each individual will come back with a different experience. It's really just that good. The bad stuff you won't notice, and the good stuff you'll come to love. If you don't own this already, I highly suggest getting it. 9/10 |

Descriptive enough and follows the guidelines, good job! You have ascended past pretty much every other person who has tried a review other than VIP members. (MGL made a good one I believe) PS; I totally want to slap you for that music rating, but it's all opinion

The one thing I disagree with in this review is the bug catching part. Screw bug hunting, I go Tumbleweed hunting!

Photobucket is garbage and wants me to pay money to use my own images here all of the sudden (even though it was never an issue for years).
See if I ever use Photobucket for anything ever again.
