So, I've decided to do these things that I'll call "first impressions". It's sorta like a review, but not nearly as formal, and also done after just a relatively short amount of play time. I'll start with Apollo Justice, which I just got yesterday.

Title: Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney
Genre: Courtroom Simulator/Visual Novel
Developer: Capcom
Platform: Nintendo DS
Release Date: April 12, 2007

So I've played through the first case of this game. I have played all three of the other Ace Attorney games. Right from the start, the plot (which is the strong point of these games) kicks it into overdrive, laying out several strange and interesting turns of events that leave you questioning everything. There are a few returning characters, as well as several new characters that lead to quite a bit of intrigue.
The gameplay is mostly the same as the previous entries in the series, with a few changes and updates that I haven't had a chance to explore much yet. The controls are polished a bit, and include the option to yell "Objection!", if you feel like it.
The graphics look nice, for what they are. Almost entirely comprised of static backgrounds with character images over them, it's simplistic, but they're well drawn. The music is pretty good, mostly new, but with a couple well-placed throwbacks.

Overall, this game is pretty darn good so far, living up to its legacy. I can't wait to play more.
