I'll be reviewing games on their Gameplay, Music, Controls, Story, and other useless stuff. Well I discussed all I needed to say so let's get to the game!

New Super Luigi U
1. Story: The story is about Luigi, The toads, and Peach is having a great time having a tea party until Bowser and his minions gets Luigi and the Toads and chucks it to World 1 called Acorn Plains. Luigi, Yellow Toad, Blue Toad, and Nabbit has to go save Peach from the "Evil" Bowser. The story is mostly the same as New Super Mario Bros. U but without Mario. I was honestly hoping for a new story but whatever.

2. Gameplay: New Super Luigi U is different from Mario U from that the time is shorter, the levels are harder, and the levels are shorter due to the time. So you have to be quick but still take your time to get the star coins. This makes the game MUCH shorter that Mario U making around 5-10 hours if your not getting 100% but if you are, it is going to take a while if you don't use the Internet. The levels differ from Mario U from the difficulty of the newer levels so your are going to waste a few lives if your new to this. If you like the Mario formula and with fast pace levels you should check the game out.

3. Music: I don't know if all the music is recycled from the Mario U game but a lot of it is. There could have and should have been new music for the game. Sigh.... Don't get me wrong the music is cool but it is just not fun without new music.

4. Controls: Since Luigi is going to be the hero he has the slippery controls for example is that Luigi has traction and he can jump higher than usual. The controls felt weird at first but then I came to accept the controls. You can get use to the controls if you play for awhile.

Final Words: With the new levels, A new character, and with 5-15 hours with game New Super Luigi U is a great game. Sure it does lack new music and other small things but it is still good. That's why I'm rating this game with a 8.5/10

Tell me what you think of the game on the comments below :)

Honestly, a few screenshots usually help in a review. But since this is the typical Mario game, I guess we'd all know what to expect.

As for your final score, from what the rest of your review indicated, the score seems a bit generous. I for one feel discouraged from getting the game now. Not that I would have, seeing as I don't have a Wii U.

What you wrote though, was written with an acceptable amount of detail. Your review is decent, but lackluster.

Okay, done reviewing the review.

Let's just say it beats a good portion of other people's first reviews.

IT wasn't really a complement, I was just informing you that people have done worse.

Yeah, what Dragon and Odin said is fairly accurate. It's not bad for a first review, but an 8.5 is a bit generous for the things you said about the game. Keep working at it.

Considering that this is a Mario (not technically, I suppose, but in spirit) game, and that people basically know what to expect from it already, I'd say that you put an adequate amount of detail into your review. As long as you remember to be more descriptive with your next review, and make the rating be more in tune with the tone of the review, then you'll probably do alright. Also, as Dragon said, remember to include screenshots. It helps give the reader a better visual representation of a game, and can help the reader better assess other factors in a game, like clutter, movement, difficulty, etc.
