Oh no! Look! It's all broken and on the floor!
So I'm giving this "review" thing a second shot because my last one was decent and I thought it turned out well so my next review is Super Paper Mario for the Nintendo Wii! Now I know there is already a review of this game in the Review Corner but...well...it kinda came out bad. (It also did not do the game justice.) so here's my (hopefully) better version MY Super Paper Mario review!

Posted Image

Plot/Story: The begins with someone telling about a "lost book of prophecies" and how it contained things not meant for people's eyes and also how anyone who found it never found happiness. The last owner of the book has a love story to tell storyception BUT THEN we forget ALLLLL about that and begin in Mario's House with him and Luigi having a chat at their living room table. Luigi is talking about how peaceful it is today it's so peaceful that it makes him want to go KERBLOOEY! They get the idea of something fun to do they think to go to Mushroom Castle and visit Princess Peach. As they walk outside they see a panicking Toad running towards them and he informs them that the Mushroom Castle was raided and Princess Peach was stolen and they don't know who but Luigi gets an idea...that "that bad guy" did it so they go to to Bowser's Castle (aka "that bad guy") they enter the castle with relative ease because Bowser's minions forgot to lock the gate *chuckles* but they find out Bowser hasn't kidnapped Peach yet when suddenly they hear Peach scream out of nowhere and she appears in a barrier cage and kidnapped by not Bowser but a new villain...Count Bleck Mario tries to fight him but fails and winds up unconscious Count Bleck then teleports Bowser, his minions, Luigi and Peach somewhere leaving Mario behind. We then see where Count Bleck teleported them to he teleported them to a wedding chapel where he tries to force Princess Peach and King Bowser to get married because the marriage of an evil king and a noble princess makes the Chaos Heart appear which is an evil black heart that grants evil powers to whoever has it Luigi who is also here tries to destroy the Chaos Heart but unlike Mario he DOES get a hit in but It causes the Chaos Heart to consume the wedding chapel but Count Bleck manages to get it and gain huge power and then leaves. We go back to Bowser's Castle and meet back with a still unconscious Mario who is woken up by a Pixl named Tippi and she teleports him to the different dimension of Flipside where he meets Merlon a wizard and a citizen of Flipside he informs Mario that to defeat Count Bleck he must collect eight Pure Hearts which are good rainbow colored hearts that are meant to counter the Chaos Heart he must put a Pure Heart on a pillar to gain access to other worlds with the Pure Hearts you see one Pure Heart leads to another.

Gameplay: Genre: Action RPG. So this game is different from other Paper Mario games first of all it dose not play like a traditional RPG it has alot of platforming. Now I'm fine with the change it's still a fun game you still have other party members the Pixls which are your over world action users and you also can change characters unlike the other two games where you are pretty much Mario the whole game (aside from the interludes with Peach and Bowser.) and every character has different abilities Mario can flip into 3-D. Peach can use a parasol to float gently down after jumping and is an invincible shield if you hold down on the control pad. Bowser does DOUBLE the damage then any other characters and has fire breath for replacement of the defense action and is MUCH slower then anyone else. And Luigi can jump SUPER high higher than any other character but again it replaces the defense action. Now the flipping into 3-D mechanic was (at least I thought) was interesting and fun to use. You see...there are certain puzzles you need to go into 3-D to solve because you can see things in 3-D that you can't see in 2-D like 3-D pictures you need to see 3-D switches you need to hit you know stuff like that now the gameplay is fun it might not be a normal RPG but...that's no reason to not try it...though there are other reasons for one the games REALLY easy I'm not kidding there's not much challenging about it none of the bosses put up ANY fight and the chapters are not difficult the only boss I found difficult was Mimi in chapter six the main reason is she has a really easy time hitting you. (just like Chortlebot.) Now let's talk about the Pixls which I said before are the action performers in this game there's Tippi who can tell you about enemies objects etc. (she's Navi is what I'm saying.) there's Threau a Pixl who can pick up and throw objects there's. Boomer who is a bomb that can blow up walls and enemies there's Slim who can make you "paper thin" and invisible if you stand still there's Thudley who is you "ground pound" function in this game. (and also dose double damage.) there's Carrie who can carry you over hazards and is much faster then walking. there's Barry (an optional Pixl) who makes a barrier around you for a second to damage enemies. There's Fleep who can stun enemies and find things for you if you use him I'm the right place. There's Cudge who is the "hammer" function of the game. (You know what the hammer dose if you've played Paper mario 1 or 2.) there's Dottie who makes you really tiny and slower but you can go though small gaps. There's Piccolo (an optional Pixl) who plays a song to remove status effects. There's Dashell (an optional Pixl) who makes you run SUPER FAST. And finally there's Tiptron an optional Pixl who is Tippi after the game is done.

Graphics: now the graphics are not the best on the Wii but...they are still good every chapter has a different art style Examples: chapter one's art style: Posted Image chapter three's art style: Posted Image Chapter six's art style:Posted Image
See? So it fits with the chapter's theme.

Soundtrack: Ok. I LOVE this game's soundtrack it has alot of good songs I like (the soundtrack itself is also underrated.) here are some songs I like.

Outer space: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=LdgoD-YBNks

I'm not nice: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=hPrjE98sz0M

World of nothing: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dDE0uMHRUdc

River of Twigz Bed: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=mG5bT47I6I4&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DmG5bT47I6I4

Flipside: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5xFPpemupBY

Miscellaneous (misc): Here are some other things I could not fit anywhere else.
A disturbing fact: so here's something I just thought of what's my favorite chapter in Paper Mario 1? 6. What's my favorite chapter in Paper Mario 2? 6. And what's my favorite chapter in this game? 6. What is that all together? 666.
Why this game is not as appreciated as it's predecessors: a reason I think this game is because it's not like Paper Mario 2 or 1 it's not like a normal RPG but I think that's no not reason to play it.

Overall: I think this game is really fun and great my only problems are the difficulty and bosses but those are just nitpicks and shouldn't be real reasons my rating is a 9.5/10 it's great but not perfect.

I hoped you enjoyed my review leave positive or negative criticism below because it's always wanted. Bye!

It is absolutely unnecessary to repeat the whole plot of the game in a review. You're leaving nothing left for the gamer. The point of a review is to encourage or discourage someone from buying the game. You're clearly trying to encourage it, but you're leaving no surprise when you describe the plot in such detail. And please use punctuation. It really does make it easier to read. You're on the right track though. Everything else is pretty good.

But yeah, this game is amazing. Really the worst part about this game is the rest of the series. It gives an expectation for what this game isn't.

Thank you for the criticism...I did go overboard with the plot didn't I? Oh well...besides...if you don't want to spoil the plot you shouldn't go into "extreme" detail like I did...(I do like details though that's probably why it turned out like that.)
But you don't have to read the plot because you don't play games for the plot anyway you could in theory skip the plot part or just read "some" of it or I could have put some parts in a spoiler tab...(gosh I'm getting a lot of ideas for "anti plot spoilage" aren't I?)

Honestly, I used to think this game's plot was the best in the series, and while I still think it has its great moments, now, I just can't agree with that. The whole Timpani and Blumiere subplot was just phenomenal in my eyes when I first played it. But now I look at some of the dialogue between these two, and it just screams melodramatic. Whenever Tippi and Count Bleck ever interacted with, or so much as thought about each other, they almost always became incredibly sappy and melodramatic characters, and they never act like this at any other point in the story. They felt like characters straight out of a Shakespearean play, and while that sounds like it should be a good thing, it just isn't when given this game's setting. In fact, the entire subplot just sounds like a mediocre version of Romeo & Juliet if you really think about it. Overall, I still think this game's plot is at the very least decent, but it's not nearly as amazing as I once thought it was.

Honestly, other than that, I think this game is still very underappreciated. The gameplay isn't at all like the previous two games, but that doesn't make it a bad thing. The flipping mechanic is actually really cool, I just wish Mario wasn't the only one who could use it. The Soundtrack is great, and I think the game looks alright.

As for your review, It was, ok...There were a lot of spelling and grammar mistakes throughout this review; to put it blunt, it's just sloppy.

normally i dont really mind it when people type like this on a forum or social media of any kind because its the internet not a fucking university

But when you're making a review of anything, you have to be professional. When you have grammar errors left and right, it causes the review and the reviewer by extension to lose credibility. If you want your review to really make an impact on the readers, you have to be professional.

There's also the issue Dragon brought up regarding your full plot summary. I do agree that you should only give your readers a taste of the plot rather than a full summary. In addition to just ruining the surprise for your readers, it's also just a pain to type (trust me, I know.)

But overall, you clearly show some potential. You did a good job of summarizing the story (even if you went too far in the process.) in addition to every other aspect of the game. Every problem I had with this review stemmed from the numerous grammatical errors and just overall informal presentation. Just work on that, and you'll be on your way to writing some impressive reviews.

Also, you need to fix the link for 'I'm not nice'.

First, thank you for the criticism. Second, I looked back at the spelling and most of it looked right unless I'm just crazy (which is entirely possible) but as for punctuation I still need to use that more (and I'm trying to fix that) and third the "I'm not nice" link was fixed. :$

Well, one thing I noticed is that you frequently misspell "does" as "dose". That error slips through the Auto-spell checker due to the fact that dose is an actual word of its own.
