Yay!

Why did his effect change?

Duelist of the Roses must be one messed up game.

Well, some cards effects are change or shifted to better suited for the kids in the states. Dispite age, in Japan, kids are real smart their, usually. Actually, there are some cards that aren't or never will be released here in the states yet.

He's supposed to to, upon being flipped, copy the attack and defense of the strongest monster on the field.

What?
Yeah, Duelist of the Roses, Forbidden Memories, and some of the GBA games have all been off on all the cards. They made up effects that they thought suited them. Most of the time, cards effects are not changed in transition from Japan to the USA.

True, I remember how they change some of the text on other cards, like Wabaku. Then the Magic Cards are now known as Spell Cards.

Too bad for me, as I must favor games over cards.

Easier cleanup.

Also, getting new cards doesn't cost money.

But with real cards, you get to hold rare & exclusive cards in the palm of your hand. It's worth more to collecting rare cards then what you can get on video games.

Ok, I've only got one more.

In the game, the comp takes care of all the numbers for you.
