Introduction and hello...!!

:)

I just wanted to introduce myself and say a big hello to everyone.

My name is Bec and I live in Sydney.

I got my first detector a Fisher Gold Bug Pro DP, about three years ago to use at parks and beaches. But I wanted to try gold prospecting, so over a year ago, my gold digging buddy Ann and I travelled to Dunolly VIC. That is when I found my first gold nugget.

The gold bug well and truly bit and the rest they say is history..! I have since bought a GPX 5000 and last year went on my first gold prospecting trip to W.A. And what a fantastic experience it was, so much so that I am planning another trip for this year.

My friend Ann, is the other half of GoldDiggerGirls and we have a YouTube channel called GoldDiggerGirls Australia, where we share videos of some of our adventures.

I wish you all the best with your prospecting and may all your digs be golden.

Cheers,
Bec (GoldDiggerGirls)

Hi Bec,

& welcome to you & Ann to the forum.
I'm sure the members here will be looking forward to hear of your future adventures & experiences.
Feel free to post & ask questions if need be as there is a wealth of experienced members here that will
be only too happy to help out.
Watched a couple of your vids...nice photography & great pics & a nice search business you two have on the side.
I see you are using a Nuggetfinder Joey for the small stuff with good success!!!!
What other coils (apart from the 11" Commander Mono & Nuggetfinder 17x11) do you use?

Hope to come across you sometime in the future when you visit W.A.
Cheers,

Ted

Thanks Bill, Nightjar and Topcat.

And thanks for watching some of our videos...much appreciated...! :)
(We should have some more adventures from the golddiggergirls to share with you later this year.)

Topcat, as you mentioned I mainly use the Nugget Finder sadie, the Nugget Finder 17 x 11 and the Minelab 11" Commander Mono. I have very briefly used the Minelab 15 x 12 and have a 11" Commander Double-D that I have never used. What coils do you tend to use or do you recommend one in particular over any others?

Cheers,
Bec.

Hi Bec,

The best coil I have found most gold with is a Coiltech 14"x9" mono with has been
good finding the small pieces.
I also have a 16" round & a 17"x11" Nuggetfinder Mono Coils as well as the 6" Sadie
for the very small gold.
The Minelab 11" Commander Mono is used by a few of my fellow prospectors with good
success at depth.
Good luck for the season.
Cheers,

Ted
