Hello everyone, after a few years of turmoil in my life things have started to come back together so have decided to dust off the detector and get out into our wonderful country. I was a member of this site a few years ago when I was up at Carnarvon, now I have moved down to Geraldton and have had a few day trips out to Yalgoo area mainly just having a look around but have had the detector out for a hour or two each time with no success as yet but who would expect to from a couple of hours on areas I have no idea about. Would love to hear from anyone that heads out that way. I see some changes have happened with DMP access to mining tenements, could someone tell me if I can go on an EL that is pending please.
Cheers Paul

Hi Paul,

Welcome back to the forum & keep at with the detecting......it all takes a little patience
& some effort and your rewards will soon come along.
All pending leases are open to detecting without a permit (provided you have a Miner's Right)
& it is proper to let the pastorist know you are detecting on their land.
Cheers,

Ted

Thanks Ted, good to see nothing has changed with pending EL's I had a look on the DMP site and there was no mention so thought I should check with you guys that are up with it to make sure I don't get any buckshot in my a@@. I prospected for a few years up north and always made sure where possible to call the pastrolist and drop a paper or two off on my way in. Had some success up north so should be on the right track just need to put more time and effort in.

Not sure if I'm going to make it out myself again before it gets too hot but I'm making plans to head North next year at a spot I know I left some gold behind just hope no one has been there in the last few years ^o)
