Thanks for adding me to your site. My wife and I have just started our new hobbie and have bought a SDC2300. Used it once .so far finding nothing but junk. When the weather cools a little we hope to head out with our caravan and do a little fossicking . And having just recently retired from the salt mine should have some spare time to do this stuff..... |

HI TerryBear & welcome to the forum. Now that you have plenty of time to enjoy this great pastime, remember to do your research as this is 90% of the gold finding exercise & the 10% remainder is getting out there & finding it. As it has been said many times you literally have to walk over it!!! You will find heaps of info here & don't be afraid to post & ask questions....after all we at onetime had to start at the beginning. Looking forward to hear of your adventures. |

Every year have been meaning to take a photo of the drum of junk we have collected, amazing what you find from sets of car keys, false teeth, reading glasses, enough ammunition to start a gun shop etc etc. If the gold brag jar was as full we would be extremely happy, however can't complain what has turned up. Good luck out there. |

Hi TerryBear I reckon it takes between 1,000 and 5,000 pieces of junk per piece of gold. Every piece of junk you find is one piece closer to the gold piece. Kind regards Peter |
