Hi all,
Not the best quality but gives you an idea of the life we have away from home.
We purchased this lease back in 1995 and have spent the following years establishing our home away from home.
We haven't found lots of gold but the fellowship enjoyed around the many campfires is priceless.
We got the gold bug but we didn't let it overwhelm our desire to enjoy life.
The sounds of the birdlife and their daily visit to our camp and in recent years is also priceless. They have taken up residence and presently 3 species are nesting.
Gold is the bonus!

You have the best of all prospector camp out I bet there as not been to many dry night by the look at some of the bottles.

If I am ever over that way at lease I know were to get a feed just follow the birds as thats were they all would go good water plenty of feed and a nice box to sleep in.

Well done hope you enjoy many more years there.

Hi Peter

I followed the links and watched your video. (Actually followed the links off your website and found this forum and then joined up!!). What a fantastic camp you have there. We are very jealous. The birds and wildlife around there must be pretty amazing.

When I looked through your album I saw a picture labelled "Unidentified spider". I think that's a mouse spider:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mouse_spider

and here's another page which has a red headed mouse spider on it.

Handsome little beast isn't it? Apparently they can give you quite a nip. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers
Paul

Photobucket extortion has prompted me to look at old archived photos on an external hardrive.

This photo goes back to 1995 when we were in the process of building our camp.
Few changes since then;

Photos from recent trip, click on image if you want a clearer view.

Four of us camped in this old shack for a month back in 1990, we had two dryblowers working an hour on and an hour off swinging the banjo.
Surprised no one ever took up the lease and used this, then well built shack.
Shack won't be standing much longer, the white ants will bring it down.

Holes in the floor of heaven one wet morning.

Found my first ever gold in this anthill with the SDC. Rewarded them with a piece of biscuit, one ant was struggling until a mate came along and helped him tug it up and over into their hole.

Cut a hole in and old coffee tin and wired it to our shack, within half an hour Mr Finch was checking it out.
