Just spent time reading through the interesting posts now that I have arrived back on the forum.

Chris & I had a good holiday last year for our trip to WA but cut it a little short (ill health etc). We only managed a little over 2ozs for the trip but that was a huge bonus anyway. Never did a lot of detecting.

We had another friend from Victoria with us for a while (his first time to WA on the gold) and he wanted to go north for a stint. We had a spot to try at Moyagee. I told him that the temperatures were still too hot to be up there and the flies would drive him crazy. I was right both ways!

I found a nice heavy specimen there (about 46grms) and hope to get back up that way this year some time.

Had my first very taste of young goat last year and have to say I really enjoyed it along with all the roast vegies etc. Nightjar you were right when you told me it tastes great.

The rest of our gold was found out at Six Mile, Kanowna and also some near Lake Yindarlgooda.

Took me a while to get my 4000 running properly but once I had that sorted out I was really pleased with it. Even Chris will have the use of one this year so hopefully we'll get lucky and find a few pieces.

We've bought a new 39litre Chescold Fridge Freezer this year and Chris is busy fitting that into the caravan. We'll run on the 12volt whilst travelling and then gas while at camp. He's busy sorting out a flue system for it at the moment. The freezer will give me more space for meat etc.

There have been some great pictures and stories to read through and look at. Thanks for sharing all those folks.

Cheers
Lyn

Welcome back to the swingers club, Lyn and Chris. My name is Dave. Some call me "No Nuggs", but only my closest friends. Don't bother asking me about prospecting as I'm a new chump to the game and my knowledge is very limited. Anything to do with fishing or mechanics, "I'm at your disposal !"

Your Nugget haul looks very impressive. I hope to find a Nuggy one day but I'm still waiting for Gypsy to show me the way.

Thanks for sharing your experience and hope you remain with us, in this very exclusive club. I hope to swing in your general direction soon.

Cheers Dave.

Have no fear Dave - you will soon be on your way to your first kilo!

You couldn't have a better person than Gypsy helping you along. From what I understand there is a huge wealth of experience with Gypsy.

I'll be really chuffed if we can get to meet a few folks from here this year when we are in WA.

Cheers
Lyn

Lyn,

I have just won, on Ebay, some coordinates from the legend herself. I've been given sooo many coordinates, I don't know where to start. It'll take me a lifetime to get through it all!!!
I have now decided to go to Central Aus, There's a lot of water coming down from the floods in Queensland which will breath new life into the desert. I believe this is a one every 10 year event. I'll take lots of pics and post when I get back, who knows maybe a pic of my first Nuggy!
