Hi folks Have paid for my new Nuggetfinder coil (none in stock & waiting now). Looks like folks have cleaned them out! During my course of enquiry I was told by one prospecting supplier that "we don't stock Nuggetfinder as there is a 40% return rate." Just wondering if folks have had any or many problems with the coils. We have purchased the 16" round mono. Thanks Lyn |

hi Lyn, i must live in a sheltered world, i have never heard of anyone returning a NF coil, guess like everything it does happen, i use an 18 inch NF round mono and am very happy with it, people say bigger coils miss small gold, well a couple of weeks ago my mate and i were down to using two fingers to pinch up the dirt to find the target !!!!! regards, gary |

WhooHoo - Good One Kath Don't spend it all at once Yes Chris & I are starting to get things organised for our big holiday. Wish we could've been in WA for the trip to Mt Celia. Would've been great to meet folks from this forum. However we are hoping we will get the chance to meet some of you whilst we are over your way. A friend of ours here in SA some years back had trouble with one of his Nuggetfinder coils but it was replaced straight away. I've not heard of anyone else having any bother but thought it looks like quite a few on here do use them and that would be a good test. If there were problems with them - people would shy away from them Gary - like you say, some of us live in a pretty sheltered world and I'm trying to puzzle out what the cost would be to the prospecting supplier even if there were trouble with the coils. Thanks for the comments Cheers Lyn |

hi Lyn, i havn't met rohan yet but i know his dad barry, and if he is anything like his dad which i believe he is, there would be absolutely no hassles with the product, as i know from his dad making coils is his passion (not just his livelyhood), regards, gary |

Hi Lyn I have got 4 nuggetfinder coils in total all good, I know plenty of other blokes with nuggetfinder coils as well and I have not heard of anyone having to send one back because it was faulty. I have't tried the new Advantage range of nuggetfinders yet......no doubt I will soon. Good luck with your WA trip. cheers dave |

Gidday Shooting Stars 5 I just got back from out the back of Yalgoo where I had a crack at my new 4500 and 16inch nuggetfinder advantage on the 3500, in fact my son used the 3500 with the nuggetfinder - the first time he has ever used a metal detector in his life! He had total ball, we didn't find any gold but it picked up everything in its path. I tried it out towards Gnows Nest south of Yalgoo on the 4500 but it was a bit hot out there and because I was not familiar with the 4500 I couldnt get it tuned to the ground properly - NOT the fault of the coil though.. I want to try it again at Mt Celia in a few weeks on the 4500 with some expert input form some of the members of this forum and then will reply again, but it seems like a good coil to me. By the way, if any business has a 40% return on product one would suspect they wouldn't be in business for long - I would think that the business that told you that nuggetfinder had a 40% return might have been ssssttttretttching the truth a little bit. I also note they dont sell the coil. Regards Bill |
