Morning Bards,
Used a SL NF 20" Mono on my 4000 before upgrading to the 4500, still using the same coil and dug some deep holes with both machines but unfortunately all small gold. Just amazed with the depth of holes to retrieve a few grams but haven't given up walking over a clunker..

Good luck

Peter

hi peter,
what settings did you use, for the big coil i only use 14inch or smaller just thinking of giving a big coil a bit of a go, i can just rember a friend digging a 5ozs specie with a 2000 about 8 months after they first came out, it took him a few hourse and 2 picks, the ground is very quiet, you can hear a ant fart, just something different to try...john...

Bards,
On my website there are settings I used with the 4000 however in this instance I was using the supplied 11" DD.

You say the ground is quiet (Hear an ant fart.. :D I like it.) so run your gain flat out and you may have some serious digging to do..
