Hi all, Lynne and I have returned to Scotland after a lovely holiday in WA and SA. We came back to Australia to celebrate my Mum and Dad's 60th anniversary and for me to catch up with my kids. I am an Aussie and Lynne is from Scotland. Spent a week prospecting near Coolgardie and found about 3 grams before the battery carked it on my 3000. Camping out was a first for Lynne and she loved it. However, our trip would not have been very successful if it had not been for some very lovely people. Kris and Andy for putting us onto an area where we had a chance to find a bit and for coming out to see how we were going every day! How good is that? Thanks Kris, without your cigarette delivery service I would have been in trouble. Then there was Peter and Lindy who turned up just as I discovered that I had flattened the battery on my old Pajero after leaving the bloody engel running all night! To top it off my reserve battery pack was useless, so much for planning for all contingencies, lol. Seems that me and batteries don't get on at all Peter was kind enough to leave me his Genset for the rest of the time we were camping, 4 days all told. Being detecting novices, Kris, Andy, Peter and Lindy gave us heaps of good advice and tips. Kris even lent Lynne her 3500 for the whole time we were out there! All were very pleased when we found our gold, Andy even drove out specially that night to congratulate us despite being dead tired after a couple of trying days at work. I can still hear your laugh, Andy as I type this, lol. Peter makes a great Irish cappucino. Thanks very much to all of you, without your very generous help, so freely given, our trip would have been memorable for all the wrong reasons. We will be better prepared next year, I promise.
