Hi all,

I have been trying to download citrix for Tengraph, after several attempts with an error response, I contacted the Help desk at the Mining
Department, and was told to download version 8.1.

However, I could not find version 8.1. Below is what I tried.

1. Tengraph online page.
2. Help for Windows Vista users.
3. Internet Options.
4. Advance.
5. typed in http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkId=69157 (as per example)
6. made sure SSL 3.0 is ticked and unticked SSL 1.0. Clicked ok.
7. Turned off the laptop completely.
8. Restarted the computer.
9. Went into Tengraph to find the download for Citrix 8.1 (but cold not find this download.)

Hope someone can see where we are going wrong.

Overall do you know if Vista or Windows 7 is the best for WA mapping System.

Cheers for now
Laurie & Roz

Hi Laurie & Roz,

Welcome to the forum.

Find Citrix in the attached file.

You can also find the latest version (11.2) here: http://www.dmp.wa.gov.au/4742.aspx#4744

Have been recently having a dabble with Windows7, find it very user friendly & can see no reason why you could not use it for
your mapping.
I personally use WindowsXP but know of others using Vista without any problems.

Cheers

Ted

Hi Peter,

It is a compressed .rar file that has to be extracted to obtain the file.
Download it & just right click on the .rar file & extract to the file name.
ica32t is the citrix file name.

Peter you need to download the file from Teds post and save it somewhere on your computer, (make sure you know where you have saved it). Then when it has finished downloading to your computer go find it (it will look like 3 little books stacked on top of each other, a red one, a blue one, and a green one) and then right click your mouse on this and a box of choices appear which give you a few choices about extracting the files. Choose the one most appropriate one, and it will be done ready to use.

I used the 4th choice on the list, it will say open with ..........it is the WinRAR archiver

Hope this helps some.

cheers dave

PS. opps Ted just posted before I finished this. So the post I am refering to is Teds post where the little file is attached at the bottom of his post

Hi Ted,
You wrote: "It is a compressed .rar file that has to be extracted to obtain the file."

I'll put on the kettle one day and maybe you can show me what is need to know about compressed files, unzipping, extracting etc etc.

Hi Dave,
I tried your method, still looking for those 3 little books and archiver?

Thanks to you both but could not grasp the process.

Cheers

Hi all,
Thanks to everyone for their input into loading citrix. However, we have still been having problems over the last 2 weeks, trying to download the file.
After contacting the Mine Department Help Desk several times, we were advised to load version 11 and not version 8 as we were previously told.
We have had to professional computer people look at the problem, but could not load Citrix. As the computer is only 6 weeks old, we decided to restore back to factory settings. Deleting all programs as well as Norton.
Finally Citrix Loaded, now we are in the process of loading all our programs again.
What a pain in the butt, as we are now having problems reloading some of our programs again.

ARE WE HAVING FUN YET !!!!!!!!!!!

We are now having the same trouble as Nightjar loading ica32t.

Hi Laurie & Roz.

Did you read my posts on the subject?
Also the one by Davsgold?
They should give you some help solving your problem.
BTW what operating system are you using on your PC?
It seems to me that you have a firewall problem which is preventing the download.
To extract a RAR file is simple as davsgold explained.
After you have extracted the file then it is just a matter of executing the file to install.
