Hi Members,

After a lot of deliberation & soul searching I have put an order in for a Minelab GPX4500 so
I can compete with all those other gold leechers out there!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOL :P :P :P :P :P :P

BTW Bernd & Petra have sold Reed Prospecting. New owner Jeff Wright who is a mate of Bernd.
It will still be known as "Reeds Prospecting"

Morning Kath,
Ted mentioned the waiting list is only 3 weeks.
Sure a big surprise to hear Bernd & Petra have sold the business, would have thought they would have made mention of it and introduce the new owner?
Ted probably has more info because he was talking to Bernd recently.

Cheers
Peter
Good luck & safe travels
Peter

Hi Marty,

The main reason is that I've talked the missus into doing some swinging so I'll be handing the 2100
over to her to learn how to get into the"Swing of Things".
With her luck she will most likely end up getting more then I will!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOL :$ :$ :$ :$ :$

Ted
what have you decided about coils for the 4500?
Are you going to use the ones you had for your 2100 or have you identified some new coil options?

I would also be keen to hear what other forum members recommend, coil wise, to pair with the 4500 as Santa may have a little surprise for me as well :D and I need to start my research now.

Hi Longfella,

I will be using my existing coils, 16" Nuggetfinder Advantage Mono, 8" & 18" Minelab Mono Coils
"& an 11'" Minelab DD.
Will be doing an exchange on the 4500 package 11" DD for n 11" Minelab Commander Mono.
I also have a 16" eliptical mono from Coiltech.

Cheers

Hi Longfella,
Up until our last trip the most popular coil was the 20" NF Mono, which is a great coil for general search, however my partner decided one morning that she would like to try the Minelab 11" mono we had borrowed.
Low and behold this combination was sensational. She chained several small areas that we know gold came from and was amazed what had been left behind. The 30+ nuggets ranged from 6.5g to 0.05g
We are currently planning to sell the two DD's that came with the machines and replace with either a 11"/12" NF or Minelab Mono to add our collection.
I see Ted still has his 8" Minelab Mono and mine has been gathering dust since it came standard with the SD2100.
This will be my first preference coil and SWMBO will swing the 11" when we revisit some known patches next season. :D

Hope Santa looks after you. ;)

Cheers
Peter
Good luck & safe travels

Thanks for the heads up fellers.
I have had great sucess with Coiltek eliptical DDs on my 3000; but I think technology has caught up with me and i need to visit the mono world.
Interesting comments Peter on your recent results with an 11" mono.
