Hi Everyone
I was quoted aproximatly $2000 to fit a 80ltr long range tank under my cruiser ute,so with a bit of shopping around I found this one from Plastics plus for $340 plus about $100 worth of fittings ,it fitted under perfectly.
I used a Commodore electric fuel pump to transfer fuel into my main tank. :) :) :)

Nice work Jon, and now you got about $1500 left in your pocket for fuel, pays to shop around and do some things yourself ;)

Hi Jon,

Yes A nice neat job.
One thing to remember though, plastic cable ties will harden & possibly break over a period of time
especially if under load so I would suggest the fuel line (the one with the shut off cock) crossing above
your exhaust pipe be fixed more securely.

Cheers

Ted

Hi Jon,

Nice work! It tucks away nice and neatly. Are those tanks suitable for water as well?

Great job Jon,
You are getting your little truck set up very well to make it easier to spend time out on the goldfields. No more pesty jerry cans leaking in the back and taking up room.
Was going to stir about the Commodore fuel pump but thought better.
Cya down the track later this year.

Peter

Good luck & safe travels

Hi Peter
Yes have been busy, also revamped the front of my caravan so i can carry 2x9kg gas bottles, all saves space in the back of the ute.
Will still have a couple of jerry cans in the back but not as many, with the 2x35ltr water tanks
on each side.
The best part of a Commodore is the fuel pump,,,, :P :P :P :P The rest you can have !!! :D :D :D
