Hello All
I'm new to the site, didn't even know it existed until Nightjar put us onto it from another forum.
Great that someone's done the hard yards to get a WA site going.
I live in Dongara and am watching the weather daily for a small window to get out to Yalgoo or somewhere east of there but the temp doesn't want to drop below about 41!! I'm over the hot weather detecting but 35 or so is okay.
Going stir crazy sitting around here playing golf, polishing the car, making new picks and generally just wasting time until the weather improves.
cheers
Brett

Hi Brett,

Welcome to the forum.
Yes there are quite few of us here all biting our gums just waiting for the temps to drop & get
out there again.
Hope to see out there sometime in the near future.

Cheers

Ted

Ted

Hi Ted and Kath
No, I wasn't the person who sold you the 2200 Kath. We did live in Geraldton for 20 years but moved 5 years ago to here. Our four boys did all their schooling up there.
Ted, spend a bit of time in Sandstone do you (your London Bridge signature)? I did a lot of years prospecting out of Meeka but never got to Sandstone detecting but have been planning a trip there shortly, although from all the guff on the net recently it seems to have had a fair old flogging.
I haunt the Nannine, Leinster, Yalgoo sort of triangle.
Thanks for the welcome.
cheers
Brett

Morning Brett,
Welcome to the clan, hopefully catch up one day.
My first attempt at detecting was at Nannine and then Chesterfield, found my first gold here back in the mid 80's. Went back to Chesterfield in the 90's and found a big dryblowing area to the North of all the mines. Was currently under lease by a couple of Gero boys. Was that you?

You should catch up with Goldfinger (Nugget_Kath) in Gero, she can smell gold. :D

Cheers
Peter
Good luck & safe travels
Peter

Gday Peter,
No wasn't me at Chesterfield but I think I know the guys involved.
My mate and I ended up building and working a sluice plant on our Nannine block for the last year before I left Meeka, 84-85.
Catch up one of these days, I'm thinking about going over to the Ora Banda shindig as my prospecting mate lives near Leinster and we are often there visiting and detecting.
cheers
Brett
