I saw the link nightjar posted on The Gold Detecting and Prospecting Forum and thought I should have a look here. I am surprised that you have a site like this and I have never heard of it.

So I joined up, as I am just crazy about detecting. I have so long between trips, I need to read and talk about it.

I am retired, live in Sydney my other interests include tennis (4 times a week), fishing (used to import fishing gear), shooting, trading the stock market, exploring for and photographing aboriginal cave paintings, travelling (anywhere, but especially the WA deserts) and good food ( especially deserts !) and wine.

I own a 4500, a pair of Ratphones and a selection of NF and Coiltek coils. Every year I do one or two detecting tagalong tours in WA and one in Tibooburra with Gold Prospecting Australia. I usually detect for a few weeks before or after the tours. Closer to home, I have detected three times in the Golden Triangle and twice at Hill End.

Now I am marking time and playing with my gear, until I head off to Laverton in April.

I tow a 16 foot Bushtracker caravan called Elvis.

Cheers,

Jigalong

Now that's what I call a good offroad van with plenty of ground clearance
& good approach & departure angles.

Hi Jig, that is a very nice van etc that you have!! :D Actually a nice photo also. ;)

The bushtracker 'ELVIS' looks bigger than 16foot!! It must be able to go to some remote areas
with that clearance .

Hope you do well this year with the detecting...we will keep an eye out for you along the tracks!! B)

Good luck, safe travels & please keep in touch with us all when able.

Cheers,
Kath
