Hi all had another great couple days detecting on the weekend. went to a area that I detected a couple years ago with the 3000, using a 11" mono on the 4500 got a total of 38 nuggets for 22grams. The 11" is just dynamite on small bits. The hardest task is locating them once out of the hole. I picked up 22 bits the first day and went back the second day and chained the area to pick up the the rest. |

Hi Captain101, Good to see you are finding some colour. The 4500 coupled to an 11"mono definately does the job. Cheers Ted |

Morning Captain, The easiest way to locate your finds once they are out of the hole is to use a plastic spoon. (Any of the food chains have them, soup or serving spoons.) Pick up a spoon full and wave it over top of the coil, when you you know it is in the spoon tip a portion of the dirt into your hand and again wave over coil. Discard handful. If the target ends up in your hand tip the remainder out of the spoon and return the handful to the spoon and repeat process until you locate the target. Another tip is to drag your magnet through the spoon full to check whether it is magnetic.

Well done Emil! Keep up the good work. The little ones soon add up. Looks like you are really appreciating the upgrade of your machine. I get a pet scoop from the likes of Crazy Clark's in Kalgoorlie (for you). Only $2 or $3. Don't go to the pet shops (they charge heaps for them). Cheers Lyn |
