Hi all we all get fustrated when the technology lets us down, google earth ,tenegraph, GPS, landcrusers and the engill fridge (sorry about the spelling) but spare a thought for the old timer's when your sipping your ice cold beer while keeping an eye on the t bones on the bbq by the the light of your LED's powerd by the the deep cycle battery that was charged up by the solar panels on your roof. The poor old bastards that treked though the W.A outback with a water bag and a few bully beef cans in their swag. Remember they walked the land before us loaming and looking and for the few that were lucky they make their fortune but most walked away in dispair. So next time your minelab sqeeks or squacks the lead has broken or the battery's flat the iron stones to hot or the thunderstorms are coming its only a short walk back to the safty and comfort of your camp and worse comes to worse you shouldn't be hungry or thirsty and never more than day drive away from civilization don't get angry or fustrated be gratefully and think of the T bones. thats my thoughts anyway. ps there must have been a lot of old bastards with the amount of bully beef cans around. |

Yes Captain, lets not forget them! I can also tell you that they did not have the luxury of telescopes either - too much wasted bullets! Best Kudu |
