Hi Folks Just thought I'd post this link - (and it's probably not in the correct area). I have just bought myself a couple of pairs of these gloves (pink ones) in readiness for our trip to WA. They are excellent quality and great value. Very comfortable and the gel padded palm stops the jarring on your hands when digging those nuggies! http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250601337492&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT Cheers Lyn |

Hi Lyn/Kath I've taken to wearing gloves the past couple of years. Got sick of the festering/annoying burrs stuck in the hands and cuts from sharp rocks etc. Use the "Ironclad" brand from Bunnings. They're a nice tight fit and last about a years detecting for around $20 - good value I reckon. Don't use a scoop, just the gloved handful waved over the coil and it works really well. cheers Brett |

Hi Lyn, The best place I have found to by soft leather gloves is from an industrial health & safety equipment shop. You will be surprised at what the prices are!!!!! Cheers Ted |

Hi Ted Yes I have usually bought the rigger's gloves from our local welding supplies. Got some real beauties last year for only $5 pair and they were lovely soft ones with the longer wrist. Anyhow I am going to try these ones this year and see how long they last. They are not supposed to go hard (like my rigger's ones do) after being wet. Cheers Lyn |
