hi all, g'day nightjar.

just registered in this forum as a newby. i gave all my details in the newby section at the top.

i recognise some monicers of people that visit other forums, and hello to everybody else.
REG put me onto this forum, as i am planning my first foray into WA goldfields this winter/spring.

hope i run into some of you in the bush, no, i wont crowd you out. i prefer to find my own plots (and find that big one, you all have missed).

if you come across a misfit on his own in a silver rodeo 4b pulling a old jayco van, catch me for a beer and a tongue wag.... kev :D

Hi Kev,

Hope to catch up with you out in the field some day.
We have some beautiful flora & forna here in WA over a very wide area so I doubt
if you will crowd us out.
Looking forward to your posts on your adventures around the traps.

Cheers

Ted

Hi Kev.welcometo the best forum in the west for info.hope you do well.learn how to use tenegraph and dont be afraid to use the facilities in the mines offices.its all there to help you.theres acres of reading on this site to help guide you.good to see you like to find your own spots as many want their hand held and be told x marks the spot,it aint gonna happen!. i was lucky and had a good teacher on how to detect but ive still got to find my own ground, plus others will give you hints as well.
All the best,
Peter

thanks for the good wishes ted and peter.
i came across a dvd on WA wildflowers and scenery recently, so thats why we are intending to be over there at the end of winter and spring.

if the gold is sparse, i bet the scenery will make up for it. only trouble is its like outback qld, it goes ---forever --- but once you are used to that, no problems.

yes peter will have to wrap my grey matter around tenegraph, saw it on your sites list here, along with mineing laws, google earth, wamex, maps, etc. couple of late nights coming up ... kev
