Hi everyone! Ive just recently been hooked on metal detecting when a year ago i got (hence the name) a garret ace 150. The first week i took it out down the local beach not expecting much but found about $10 in coins and a 9 ct ring!!!! since then i was hooked. for the last few months ive been gathering up alot of info and a gpx 3500 to hit the gold sceen! HAHA any hot spots that some one knows of would be great aswell!!!

Just a question. My parents are on a station up north which has ground that looks like it would produce gold. There hasnt been any old workings or mines there so i wondering if im wasting my time? or should i give it a shot?

Thanks crew

PS awsome forum that has lots of info! credit to the admins and contributers!! :D

Good morning Garrettace150,
You will need to do some research about the station your parents are on. If you posted where the station is situated I'm sure someone here would be able to advise you.
Good luck with your new hobby, you picked a good one and if you get a 3500 you will find that is a great machine.

Cheers
Peter
Good luck & safe travels
