Hi Everyone, Just a reminder to make sure you take your section 20 A's & any other revelvant papers with you when detecting. On our last trip we were approached twice & it feels so good to be able to show our papers having done the 'right thing' & it also keeps everyone happy. Fill our holes & leave our camp sites free of our rubbish etc as all this helps us detecting to have a much better relationship with lease holders etc. We find them very good when we do these small things. Once a chap thought we were on his lease & of course not a happy chappy but when we kept pleasant & showed him our gps readings etc it turned out we were correct & he did appreciate us showing him. Another thing the men do is walk around area we have permission to detect on, keeping outside a live lease next to 'our' area, They then place bright tape on trees so we do not accidently go onto the live lease....this tape is then removed by us when we leave area, We take this tape with us. For someone like me it is a brilliant idea as I loose track of an area, saves checking the gps all the time! They do not do the full boundry with tape but just the area or areas we would be working in. Any hints you may have we would love to hear about!!!! Good Hunting, Cheers, Kath |

Hi Kath That is a really good idea about the tape. Have never thought of that before but will certainly be using that idea this year. Cheers Lyn |
