Hi David,

Welcome back & just bring the troopy over (along with all your mapping material!!!! LOL ^o) )
& I'll work out a deal.
Serioiusly though I don't know what the regs are in Vic for modding vehicles but I can imagine they would
be as strict as NSW which from what I have heard will be the benchmark on vehicle specs for modding when the Dept.
Transport for all states goes Federal sometime in the near future.

As Kris has mentioned any input into improving our research in finding the elusive yella stuff before all
the Eastern Staters come over & grab it all is greatly appreciated. :'( :'(

Cheers

Ted

Hi David,

Have been out doing a bit of swinging with Jon & the crew & as mentioned in other posts managed to
meet up with Lynn & Chris so have been away from the forum for a few weeks.

The work on the Troopy has been done over several years, improving things as I go along & the main reason
(apart from cheaper rego) for the re-classification was for insurance purposes as you are probably aware of
in that when you change the configeration of a vehicle (no matter how small) it has to be declared in your
insurance policy as well as informing & getting approval from your relevant state department of transport.
Some items such as driving lights, roo bars, some vehicle lifts ect are exempt from the notification list (here
in W.A.), but such items as pop up roofs, heavier suspension, long range tanks, dual wheel carriers, reducing
the original vehicle seating capacity etc, requires an engineering report submitted to Dept. Transport when these
changes have been completed then a final inspection by the Dept. Transport for final acceptance.

There are a lot of vehicles out there on the road that maybe because the owners are unaware or just plain ignorant of
the insurance disclosure policies on motor vehicle mods & what is required by the Dept. Transport for doing mods
on a motor vehicle which could cause their insurance policy to be null & void in case of an accident!!!!

Cheers

Ted

Ted and all,
As matter of interest many people are not aware that vehicle airconditioning is not a "standard installation" and must be added to your "extras" list when insuring your vehicle along with all your other goodies. eg; winches, driving lights, uhf & hf radios etc.

Cheers

WooHoo - so good to see you back Lad!

Have missed your cheery comments.

Got a nice little 3.8grammer today plus another 6 little nuggies for a total of 7.2gms so happy as a dog with a t... d...ck as Terry would say!

Hope we can keep up the good work tomorrow.
Ted's a really nice bloke and I'm sure that between the 2 of you something will be worked out.

We're still enjoying our holiday in the Cue caravan park. Thankful we were here with the cold wet weather. So nice to switch on the little fan heater.
Roxy is getting more used to her muzzle now and has a ball out there running around like the wind. Have to be careful to keep her away from shafts also.

Cheers
Lyn
