Hi everyone, I have just found this site and joined, so glad to find something WA based. I have been detecting for about 5 years, mainly parks and beaches using first aa ACE 250, and then A Xterra 70 and have been dreaming for sometime of getting a real gold detector and having a go in the bush. I now have a GPX4500 and am in the process of devouring the maual. I have watched all the Johnathon Porter CD's and am really having trouble convincing myself that the day job is what I want to keep doing LOL. I have a 4WD and caravan along with all the camping gear I could ever need and last but not least a wife who understands. Hope to meet up with possible detecting partners via this site. All the best to all. BigCat |

Welcome aboard Big Cat, Are you sure you want to get into this, you do realise many have been struck down with a terminal disease after finding their first nugget. It is called "Gold Fever" and it is incurable! Good luck, you have a dream machine, so now with some research and getting to know your 4500 you will no doubt have a nug or two in your poverty jar. Cheers Peter |
