HI WILGA AND ALL- just came across the link from dougs site and i'm sure there will be many members here that i have run across before on other forums. for new friends here i have been detecting for a couple of year's now but still in a steep learning curve, member of a couple of other forums and a moderator on woody's "detectormods forum". i am based in cloncurry where i work in a large copper mine and working 1 week on/1 week off giving me plenty of time for detecting.

It is great to see you kicking a goal with this site kris and wish i had come across it a lot sooner and when i get off my stint of nightshifts there will be plenty of research here from my end.

thanks for the welcome member's, much appreciated and i hope there is plenty to learn here. the photo of the chinamans pool took me back to when i was working on the sealing of the rippon hills road and i got to visit that spot. also remember in the main street of marble bar a three section wall monument covered in brass plaques each describing historical grave sites in the locality with a brief description of location, cause of death, etc. terrible to see so many children graves listed... hard country for hard people!
