I was introduced to prospecting by Doug Stone on an excursion to W.A. some years ago and contracted an illness because of that trip. I started being unable to curb my desire to buy a gold detector and as a result was admitted into a lab. Further investigations proved that I had a serious case of Gold Fever and the only way to control it was to buy a detector and try to get out using it when I could. My wife objected to it being left on the bed after I had been wandering around the house practicing "low and slow"and overlapping my sweep. That was when I lived in S.A. but a move in 2004 to W.A. brought the fever back and the only relief was to buy more detectors. Not a lot of gold has been found by me but I have had a bit of fun and seen many interesting places and met some good people. Now I get to look after a minesite two weeks out of six and in my spare time I poke around some old diggings for the odd part gram or two. The lab.I was admitted to in S.A. was apparently the Minelab and I think they must have used some type of post hypnotic suggestion as I have just bought a 4500 in excellent condition which I will use for the first time next week. I will also have my modified G.P.Extreme which is a good back up. Glad to be here. |
