went to yerbillon yesterday or pump station number 5 on the goldfields pipeline, got a tip from tour bus operator in merredin to go detect their. will take me forever to search that site, i think its 12 homes knocked down, we scanned around two of them and that took 2 hours to achieve. plus a school site, we spent 20 minutes their but got a bit annoyed with the rubbish in ground. has a railway siding, which if you read the local history books on this region i live in, those railway sidings involved hand unloading/loading of rail wagons from horse and cart or wheelbarrow. very hands on siding's so will dig up some photos from local library see what was where. found a 1934 penny and a 1942 penny, plus a ford corsair convertable lesney matchbox car, dated on google is 1965. i believe town was removed in 1954 and built betwen 1893 and 1896. anyway below is the youtube video, featuring my ever excited and helpful 9 year old daughter pump station 5 video |
