:) Hi All

Newbie here just joined the forum, I’ve learned a little bit about prospecting, and so looking forward to learning a lot more, and hopefully I can share what I know.

My Husband and I live in WA, we both love the outdoors and love prospecting, we have found a small amount of gold, and looking forward to finding more.

Regards

Sandra

Hi Kath & Ted

Thanks for the very warm welcome. We both have the 5000, and still learning how to use, not that we have done too bad so far, we picked up just over 2oz around Meekatharra, and we think for us just learning we haven’t done too bad, in fact we’re over the moon with what we’ve found. We have been back to the same area three times as we know where we are and also there is always others in the same place, but once we get confident, we will venture to other places. We use OziExplorer & Google Earth, and Udo & Bills Gold Mine Finder, also still trying to get the hang of Tengraph, also I have read a few books, but I reckon we have a way to go. We also have the Gold & Ghost CD with the Geo Maps, so as you can gather we are trying to learn and from what I have already read on the forum, there is an abundant amount of lovely people just willing to answer questions and only too happy to help anyone that is in need. So to everyone in advance thanks for any future help and one day I might be able to contribute too.

We’re still in Perth, and hoping to be away the first week in August, maybe go to Sandstone for a week or two and then maybe head to Meekatharra for another week or two, providing the weather stays dry, as we are using a camper trailer. Next year will be a caravan for sure; it seems the way to go these days.

Regards

Sandra & James
