If the moron ran across traffic for it - Good riddance. The Twilight hate aside, I don't sympathize for people putting themselves at ridiculous risk for something so miniscule in overall value. This was a grown adult with the common sense that on a major street, you don't cross on red. |

You like Slipknot, right? Did you spend your time laughing at Paul's death on internet forums all over the land? After all, he had a family yet he still chose to do all the drugs in the world. Did he deserve it? Good riddance? C'mon... |

I dig 'em, I don't really follow 'em. It's his families loss. I sympathize for them but not him. Trust me, I know a LOT about inner demons and what they can do to a person but when you have supportive people around you attempting to help you, you fight. Besides, they're two different notions of death. One was someone's cry for help, albeit in the wrong way, and self destruction from lack of whatever - support, confidence, etc. Another was an adults piss poor decision to rush to something that most likely held no significance to her life, had she lived. Did she deserve to die? Absolutely not. I certainly don't think I'm justified for making light of it and I'm sure karma will kick me in the kaboodle eventually. My humor "isn't for everyone" and I don't expect them to enjoy it on my level but if you ask or debate about it, I'd gladly offer explanations as to Why it's funny (to me). I'd rather people not be in the dark in assuming I'm some sort of sick asshole...b/c I'm not. Entirely anyway. |

I learned a long time ago not to pass judgment on death and punishment. As an aspiring attorney, it's best to keep it hidden or not have it at all. It's a sad thing what happened to that person. To keep this thread on topic, I expect everyone to be giggling while they are posting, or gtfo. |

It might not make sense but maybe it'd be a bit clearer if I said that I don't wish death or any malicious act as such on any given person but I've come to be the person who finds humor in almost anything. My motto has pretty much been, "Go big or go home" so I rarely pull punches. It wasn't my intention to set a morbid tone on the thread. But as someone who's on the boat that Twilight has ultimately ruined any current awesome notion of vampires...I find the idea of it funny. Not the actual death. Again, it's just my twisted humor that makes it douchey sounding. "I'd rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I am not." Kurt Cobain Now, shut up and giggle ![]() |

Thanks to LC for recommending this on the Flix, Dr Horribles Sing-Along Blog - My Eyes/On The Rise I thought it was a brilliant little short and the musical effect was well done. Not big on musicals/plays but I absolutely loved Burtons Sweeny Todd. Depp impressed a bunch. |

DR. HORRIBLE IS AMAZING!!!! Awesomely, on the disc, they not only give a regular commentary track, but a commentary musical as well. Joss Whedon is a genius. Except he kills everyone. |

See I love commentary/behind the scenes stuff. I've watched ALL the BtS Commentary on half my movies and my box sets - Seinfeld, South Park, Simpsons, Futurama, Firefly. At least on the cartoons, it's almost as funny as the shows. I hate that Matt and Trey only due "Mini-commentaries". I'm going to rent the disc just to get the special stuff. Thanks for the tip

I watched it a few years back, and I have never forgotten it. It is really one hell of a short, but as Pero rightly said, Whedon has a thing for tragic and morbid tones set in an ultra-bright colourful comedy atmosphere (like Buffy/Angel/FireFly/EVERYTHING HE TOUCHES!). I will now need to re-watch this classic. I am also a Browncoat (some of you may ACTUALLY get this reference... *cough* Ajj *cough*... ) and still pissed that it was cancelled, but Whedon has made it clear that the second season is the film, and most of the actors, regardless if they want a third season (Summer Glau in an interview once), are playing their best career roles in various media (Nathan Fillion in Castle, for example).Still, THIRD SEASON MUST HAPPEN!!! |

OMG I LOVE DR. HORRIBLE... (I might actually convince Josh to dress up with me for Halloween as Billy and Penny). Epic show/musical! Love how Nathan Fillion was so cheesy in it, Felicia Day's natural charm, and Neil Patrick Harris's wonderful acting. Downloaded the soundtrack and listen to it on the way to work a lot because it is so fun and quirky. I love Joss Whedon, but why does he love killing off wonderful characters so much? (Buffy Series *Tara* - "Your shirt.".... Firefly *Wash* - "I'm a leaf on the wind! Watch me soar!"...) Side note, just started watching Angel. I'm currently on episode 7 and loving that they brought Charisma Carter back as Cordelia in the series. She is so funny. Josh and I are both Browncoats... they really need to bring that series back. So witty and amusing! Mal - "What does that make us then?" Zoe - "Big damn heroes, sir." |

South Park's commentary bitesize are the only commentaries I can stand to watch. Everything you need to know in 3 minutes of tightly-edited talking, rather than 90 minutes of lengthy silences and "Oh, oh, this was a great scene, I remember filming this, it was really great, oh look how great it is, it's so great." I've linked it before in this thread but now seems like a relevant time: If all DVD commentaries were like this, I'd watch a hell of a lot more of them.

I just had to post this after I saw it! I like to get my family around the TV when the old "Batman & Robin" shows are playing, just so we can mock them together! What would it look like for the current Dark Knight to team up with the Robin from the 60's? Look no further: The Dark Knight and the 60's Robin Edited by ASLANS R0AR, Jul 12 2012, 03:07 PM.

I just loaned Firefly and Serenity to my buddy b/c, well fuck it, he NEEDS to see dat shit!!! I think I've mentioned but Gorram It and Shiny have been incorporated into my vocabulary. Sadly, they can't bring it back Spoiler: click to toggle And if I knew of any bars that housed 'em, I'd surely be swaggering around on Unification Day to stir up some trouble. Mal: Now I did a job. And I've got nothing but trouble since I did it not to mention more than a few unkind words as regards to my character so let me make this abundantly clear...I do the job. I get paid. And I fell in with this tune when I first heard it Edited by Deadpool Psycko, Jul 12 2012, 03:51 PM.

From the dude that brought you Cancer Clap, I now present Cancer Fap. If Cancer Clap is the act of packing a pack of smokes, Cancer Fap is the sound made while doing so. Bob: "Fap, Fap, Fap, Fap. Fap. Fap. Fap, Fap, Fap, Fap" Tom: "You're jerking them wrong." |

Don't forget chewing tobacco. I have a lot of friends that chew and same with cigarettes, you have to pack the dip in the can first. While holding the circular can between your thumb and middle finger, you pack the can by moving your hand in a jerking fashion. The index finger slaps the top of the can to make a clap noise. Looks boss with Copenhagen |

Then there's the heartbreaking loss of Wash. If the show lost Mal, Zoe, Kalee, Inara, Jayne or the Tams, the plot would falter. I actually need to pick up the graphic novel on Shepard Book. I would LOVE if Netflix brought parties back b/c I would SO suggest a bunch of us watch that together
