Here's my laptop, Alienware m11x that I got for college:

Windows 7 SP1 x64
SU7300 @ 1.30GHz (It's overclockable, but I'm afraid to ruin my laptop)
320GB SATA II
8GB DDR3
1GB Nvidia GeForce GT 335M

I named it Omicron. :kakashi:

When Spring comes, I'll make a new post to this thread with my (this is my one use of the year) epic desktop build.

Click the grey apple in the top left, then 'About This Mac', then 'More Info' and that should give you more solid stats. Macbook Pro's just fine though!

I have two computers: a netbook and a desktop.

Netbook stats:
1.66 GHz Intel Atom processor (overclocked to 1.8 Ghz)
2 GB DDR2 RAM
300 GB SATA (I don't know whether it's II or not) HDD
Stock GPU
7.5 hours of battery life

Desktop stats:
3.33 GHz Dual-core processor (I'm using a different case, so I don't know the name of the processor :P)
4 GB DDR3 RAM
2x 500 GB SATA HDD's (I honestly don't know why I need this much space)
Nvidia 8600 GTS (256 MB. It works well for my needs though!)

I used to be a computer geek but I got tired of upgrading every 2 years. The last gaming laptop I got was an HP Pavilion dv9000 17" with ?? specs. About a year ago, I got a new Macbook Pro 13" (pre i5 and i7 processor upgrades): 2.4 Ghz Duo Core 2 with 4GB Ram and 240 GB HDD. Don't really care about performance these days, just something I can effectively browse the web and create Microsoft Office documents. I leave gaming (mainly Minecraft and Diablo 2 mods) and iTunes management to my HP and everything else to my Mac.

@crazybydefault How large is your netbook's screen? And I have a 1TB backup that's nowhere near what I want! xD

It's black. It has a keyboard and a mouse and a monitor. It does not have a floppy disk drive. It manages to run Word, Excel, and most of the internet; therefore I am happy.

Black is the only way to go these days, but it sucks you didn't get a model with a floppy drive. If you really want to test your machine, check out Zombo.com

10.1" I love it though, because I can switch the resolution from 1024x600 to 1280x1024 (although text gets REALLY small)

I usually have a second monitor hooked up anyway!

I'm an IT person so quite into my computers ;)

Primary desktop (Phalanx):
Intel Core i7 3930K @ 4.1 GHZ (six cores/12 threads)/8GB quad channel memory/64GB SSD boot drive/2TB storage drive/2TB backup drive/2x AMD 6950 2GB in Crossfire/Blu-ray drive/Dell U2711 @ 2560x1440/W7 Pro (spent most of the time on this recently hence hardly been on Live, well that and the Microsoft store taking three weeks to send me my Gold renewal)

Secondary desktop (Executor):
Intel Core i7 960 @ 2.93Ghz/8GB Ram/2x500GB HD's in RAID 0/ATI 4850 512MB/DVD-RW/blu-ray drive/W7 HP

Primary laptop (Halcyon):
Intel Core 2 Duo @ 3.06Ghz/4GB ram/2x128GB SSD's in RAID 0/Nvidia 9300/BD-RW drive/13.1in screen 1600x900/ W7 Pro

Photo laptop (Vengeance):
Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.8Ghz/4GB ram/128GB SSD/ATI 3650/blu-ray drive/16in 1080p RGBLED display/W7 Ultimate

DTR laptop (Eisenstein):
Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.4Ghz/2GB ram/200GB HD/2x8700GT SLI/DVD-RW/17in 1080p display/Vista HP

Ultralight laptop (Equinox):
Intel Pentium-m 1.1Ghz/1.5GB ram/60GB 1.8in HD/DVD-RW/11.1in 1366x768 screen/carbon fibre chassis and 13,000mah battery (the reason I still use it), XP Pro

Primary server (Titan):
AMD Neo dual core @ 1.3Ghz/4GB ram/2x2TB HD + 1x3TB backup drive/ATI 6450 512MB/Windows Home Server 2011

Secondary media server (Shadow2):
Core 2 Duo @ 2.1 Ghz/3GB ram/1x 320GB + 1x 750GB HD/W7 Ultimate

First proper computer with Windows 95 (rather than four shades of grey laptops running DOS) had the following spec for a giggle:
Cyrix PR 133+ @ 110Mhz/4MB ram/850MB hard drive/CD-ROM (eight speed!)/15in monitor @ 640x480

The names of my PCs are in brackets which most people will probably guess mean the normal machines are named after ships, the servers after locations both of which I try to choose to match the machine. What naming schemes do you use for your PCs?

John
