I have a very bizarre taste in music. Sometimes I prefer vocals overall, other times it's guitar and the rest is a blend. My favorite bands pretty much all stem from the mid 90's to early 2000's. Almost everything nowadays is shit to me. I have a big soft spot for 80's heavy metal and composed classical music *gettin old*

Metallica, Evanescence, Staind, Godsmack, (old) Korn, Disturbed, Linkin Park, Mudvayne, Slipknot, AC/DC, Breaking Benjamin, etc.
I also LOVE 80s Heavy Metal. Favorites: Judas Priest, Metallica, AC/DC, Ratt, Motley Crue, Scorpions . . .

Getting stuck on old music is nothing to do with "getting old". I'm 30 and, though my favourite album ever was released in 1999 and many of my favourite bands existed in the 90's, I still like loads of "new" music. Which incidentally includes "classical" music (not sure if it can be called classical if it's new!). Just because most of the stuff played on radio is crap doesn't mean that all music is.

Agreed on old Korn (albums 1-4), Mudvayne (well, LD50 was stunning but everything else kinda sucked balls) and Slipknot though :)

@ Scruff - Well, the getting old thing wasn't really a negative statement. If anything, I've grown quite the appreciation for music instead of my old mantra of "Whatever makes my fuckin foot tap".

@ Aslan - Yeahhhhhhh Here Comes The Rooster!!!

Alice in Chains is one of those bands where I love many of their songs (from radio airplay) but didn't know who it was. Then I heard a bunch of them on this greatest hits album, so I had to get it.

AIC has a bunch I like but they're not in my top bands. I had the Nothing Safe: Best of the Box album.

Love Man in the Box, Get Born Again, Angry Chair, Them Bones, Down in a Hole, Would and I personally love What The Hell Have for some odd reason..

Drum and Bass, high on my list of preferred genres in the EDM world. It all started long long ago when I was exposed to LTJ Bukem. I've heard many of his Progression Sessions with MC Conrad.

Anyway, a couple of not so recent tracks that are getting some playtime in my ears.

Pendulum - Watercolor From AU, I actually hadn't heard this group, or rather knew I had, until Arty did a mashup of Moonbeam's Hate Is the Killer and Pendulum's The Island (Part 1 Dawn).

Shapeshifter - New Day Come From NZ, I love the soul/R&B feel intertwined.

@poro Check out OCRemix.org. Anyone can take video game related snippets and make their own track. There are many different genres that are covered as well.

Excited to order a new Ipod yesterday - with some B-day$$ in hand, I've been waiting for sales, and Target had the 16mb Nano (6th gen) for $129!

I've had a 2004 Nano that I inherited from my Dad. The play/pause part of the spin wheel doesn't work anymore, so I can't turn it off! Tired of that.

I'm guessing you meant GB, not MB? I'd fit maybe two or three songs on a 16MB iPod! ;)

b) Nearly 7 millions views!!!??? :wtf:
c) The lass in the second half of it is very, VERY hot
d) It's a fucking hilarious video
e) From the info - "The song is characterized by its strongly addictive beats and lyrics, and is thus certain to penetrate the foundations of modern philosophy." :lmao:
f) How I imagine teabagging Scruff @ 1:55
