For ages and ages I've used IGN as my go-to for gaming articles, reviews etc. however I'd been getting tired of it recently due to:
- the comments sections under every article inevitably began with things like "(insert subject) > MW3", or moronic nonsense from PC/PS3/360 fanboys
- actual news was always at least hours, sometimes days, late in arriving
- reviews are not exactly professional, and many articles are pointless bullshit written by staff who seem to simply have nothing better to do with their time

Finally, the thing that has pissed me off to the point of sacking the site off is that they've changed their video player and the first time I accessed it after this it asked me my DOB. I entered it (correctly) but it told me I wasn't old enough to view the video. Now I can't view any age-restricted video at all. So IGN has been removed from my life. This leaves a void; gotta have my gaming news and reviews and stuff, so where do you lot go for such things? I was thinking maybe Gamespot, but I dunno. Suggestions would be most welcome.

Kotaku, GamesTM and Edge are my go to places for game news (emphasis on the former and latter).
I also use Siliconera for awesome, obscure gaming news.

There are others, but these are my main outlets. ;)

Eurogamer.net! It can get a little smug and elitist at times, but that's the internet for you. It's a decent site and it's UK based which is always nice :)

Thanks guys. I have perused the suggested sites, and have chosen to go with Eurogamer, as it seems best suited to my needs. For now.

No <3 for Kotaku

I forgot to say that I do use Eurogamer, but not as much as Siliconera, Edge or, my favourite, Kotaku.

Though I don't check it much anymore because Reach has consumed any aspiration for other games :) my favorite site historically is Game Spot.

Generally, their rating system matches mine, and I like the way they break down reviews video/text, pros/cons, etc.

Wow, I never heard all that. After reading what happened, I'll avoid the site.

Gerstmann's new site, Giant Bomb looks pretty good though, I may have to check it out more often.

Trueachievements.com Forums/Hot Threads. Keeps me updated. Recently I read about GAME closing down in the UK.

And I found out about the Hybrid Beta through my friend feed. For Reviews I usually just search youtube IGN/Gamespot and others.

TA also has many game reviews. And see who has the highest gamerscore: Stallion83, 701,100 GS! and I thought 100k was alot.

I submit my vote for Kotaku. It's first up on my Currents app followed by Gmes Radar and Gamespot.
