Anything related to food can be posted here. Discussion about your favorite foods, least favorite foods, specific cuisines, recipes, your own creations, Bobby Flay, Gordon Ramsay, etc.

I ate a horse once. Well, part of a horse. Kind of like inferior steak but with an added guilt factor. I will not be eating it again...

Snails though - fuck yes.

Restaurantwise I will generally lean towards Tex-Mex. NOM.

The only thing I hate is pickled anything. The taste literally triggers gag reflex for me.

Now that I got that off my chest, it is time to move into the tasty stuff.

As others have mentioned, I like food. Espeically games. *ba dum tss* That includes moose, deer and reindeer in Finland. Reindeer meat might be my second favorite meat. And no, that is not cannibalism.

And what is my favorite you ask? It is called "Särä", which is the most delicious thing I have ever eaten. Too bad I have only had that pleasure twice.

More about Särä here and also here.

I had escargot once. I wasn't overly impressed, honestly. And they were very well prepared by family in the French countryside. Those people know how to cook. I just didn't like the texture. Meh. Not terrible but just...not my cup of tea.

I couldn't eat horse. That's so sad. :(

Right now? I miss BBQ, Chinese, and Mexican food so much. Oh and breakfast foods like pancakes and french toast! Granted, I could cook them all myself but that's not the same. I miss being able to go somewhere to buy a plate of chocolate chip pancakes!

Born and bred on the East Coast. Specifically in a town wedged between the Atlantic and the Chesapeake Bay. While I enjoy all things seafood, my weakness is Steamed Crabs. I live about 5 hours from the hometown, so I'm able to feed this weakness 6-8 times a year. Coming in a very close second is Scallops, followed by Bass.

I'm always willing to try something once, no cuisine is off limits.

As per the previous Chris Rock quote, I'm a big fan of the Pig. I've been on a BBQ kick recently after a Guy Fieri episode of Diners, Drive-In's and Dives. Chops, Bacon, Loin, Bacon, etc.

Oh, and Indian food. Jumped into the cuisine early last year and make it a point to have one new dish a month, which can usually coincide with travel for work.

One last item that's worth mentioning; TACO's! My wife makes the meanest spicy taco's ever. They have yet to be rivaled. She makes her own seasoning and as my intestines permit, makes them fire hot.

OMG Maryland bluecrabs!!!

I love seafood. And cow. And pig. I am not a picky eater. I will at least try things once but if I say I don't like it? I don't like it. Do not insist I like it but don't know it, I know what I don't like, dammit.

As a chef at an Italian restaurant and pizzeria (and being Italian myself), I have a small amount of favoritism towards pizza and Italian foods. I also LOVE wings, are anything covered in hot sauce, really.

I work for a Seafood restaurant chain here in Louisville, KY. For some reason, seafood is HUGE here (quite a ways from the ocean!).

I LOVE Tex-mex (following up on Scruff's comment above)!

Right now I'm trying to decide on what to have for my b-day dinner, I've settled on my favorite pizza: Hawaiian with lots of pineapple!

Wait, we have both Enfinit and Aslan working at restaurants? That is pretty neat.

I pretty much enjoy all cuisines. There are two exceptions. I'm not too fond of Indian food as that usually doesn't sit well with my stomach and I'm not a huge fan of curry. I also don't like things with too much cheese, ie. Fondue.

Unless you're a reindeer, I don't think you have to worry about cannibalism.

I saw the title of this thread, and didn't even have to look to know who the OP was :P

Well, I eat pretty much anything and everything (TWSS), from escargot and frog legs (yup, I've had both! It's amazing what garlic can do to things...) to peanut butter + Ritz crackers that I'm snacking on right now!

I have a soft spot for delicious Italian food (*ahem* SAM, SEND ME SOME *ahem* ). Pasta is my greatest weakness...

What I've learned: There IS such a thing as too much Italian food. I'd love nothing more than a Chipotle burrito right now but I have to settle for pizza. Again. :(

Completely unrelated -

I AM SO MAKING THESE SOON OMFG.

John Billings: I say we drink the wine, eat the dogs, and use the paper for musket wading.
Reverend Oliver: Eat the dogs?
Benjamin Martin: A dog is a fine meal.
Reverend Oliver: G-G-Good Heavens!

Half Italian, born and bread (HA) New Yorker, Pizza and Pasta are an automatic delicacy in my family. Love a good soft boiled pasta dish with either italian meat sauce (or just pulverized sauce and meatballs), or my polish grandmothers sauce of Hunts tomato sauce with a LOT of butter and onions.

To quote Nick Dipaolo - "I cannot NOT eat Pizza."

Much as I love a good greasy pizza joint, I am a sad sucker for Pizza Hut. I ever terribly miss The Bigfoot - 24 square slices for like $12.

I don't anymore. I can't have anything on my 'dogs anymore. It doesn't taste right :(

Also, the only thing I actually put ketchup ON is a burger. And it MUST have cheese!!!!

Otherwise, Ketchup is a dip and hamburgers don't exist to me. They are fictional imitations of cheeseburgers without the awesomeness.

aka cheese.
