Seriously? It has two meanings over there? (Braythor... make sure you are drinking the right one my friend!)
Right now I feel like I dunno what I was drinking last night...Thing is, over here if one is 'on the piss' it means drinking, and thus 'pissed' means drunk.

:fluffy:

That's very true. But also "pissed off" means angry, like how "pissed" is for Americans. That means we have at least four different meanings for the word "piss" - one of the many reasons why our country is so very excellent.

Wait... wasn't this thread about pictures of us? How did we get on to so much piss?

One night while out on the piss I was told to piss off by some bloke I was taking the piss out of. He was pissed off but I was too pissed to care, so I pissed on his cat.

Instead, I think I will merely share some pics from the GREATEST DAY of my life.
Sheesh I'm slow at times, I just realised when looking at these pictures that the blue shoes probably weren't to add a splash of colour, instead they'll be the blue part of the 'something borrowed, something blue'?

Oddly enough my surname isn't McLovin and I'm tempted not to say what it is to see what other guesses there is as it's been entertaining when people have tried it on other forums but it stands for McLaggan. As it's frequently mis-spelt (there are several variations of the spelling) my Dad used to try to explain the name to people to make it easier to spell, 'Mc' translates as 'son of' and Laggan is a place name (usually known for Loch Laggan) but that backfired when he received a letter addressed to 'Mr Mcsonoflochlaggan' My first name is intentionally plain and simple as my parents disagreed over names (neither uses their first name for a variety of reasons, my Dad wanted to stick with that, my Mum didn't) but I only have a nickname with close personal friends as it can be difficult to separate the two at times particularly when you need to stick to a proper name for professional use. Years ago before I used JohnMcL7, I used Thrawn (the Grand Admiral who took control of the Imperial empire after Return of the Jedi) and after speaking to some people extensively on IRC, they always think of me as Thrawn and even years after using that name they still can't think of me as John.

As for unusual and unrelated words, I was warned when I came over to the states that 'fannypack' has quite a different meaning - my American friend's British husband though the US TSA guard was wanting to start a fight when asked if he would remove his fannypack which is referred to as a 'bumbag' over here

Actually the shoes are my favorite color (teal/aqua) and was one of the colors at our wedding. Josh's favorite color is black so our wedding colors were teal/aqua and black. I can't stand white shoes, so I found my wedding shoes online at zappos.com. I LOVE THEM! So pretty! Also I love shiny things and they have rhinestones embedded in the back of the heel. Super fun shoes and always get noticed when I wear a cocktail dress with them.
Here is a better picture of them...

My wedding shoes are one of the reasons I love my bridal photo I posted so much! I love color!... Did I mention the bottom of the heels are HOT PINK! <3

On to fannypack...
Ok, to my knowledge in Texas a fannypack means that little pouch with a belt you wear around your waist.
What does it mean over there?

I thought being an Aussie meant I got left out but I knew all those British and American meanings for words/slang terms so no confusion on my part! :O I'm still wondering if Brandi understands "choking the chicken" yet? It is very ambiguous!

"Fannypack" isn't a thing over here; it's a combination of two words that shouldn't go together, like hammermug or something. However "fanny" means vagina.

I like Kelly Clarkson about as much as I love punching strangers in a crowd.
catching up on my reading and read this great line - "I like Kelly Clarkson about as much as I love punching strangers in a crowd." I would change it to "I like Kelly Clarkson about as much as I love getting punched by strangers in a crowd."

Ugh... Kelly Clarkson. Every time I hear that song "Since You've Been Gone" I want to gouge my eyes out. It couldn't possibly be because my friends in high school played it ALL the time. :wall:

Back to photos... I'm trying to create a new siggy. Playing around with stuff right now.

;) Yeah... I used to think I was an ok driver (and I do have my moments where I'm awesome. Just ask Josh and Yellow about our Hog Race the other day), but I've had too many car accidents lately while playing. :((

I learned this on a hilarious breaking down of Fanny on An Evening with Kevin Smith 2 when he went to England and they were takling about sex euphamisms. This chick mentioned "A bit of Fanny Fun" and of course, fanny here means Rear-End so it caused some funny confusion.

The best line I heard was "Would you like a portion?"

there is a fine line between insane/bad which can probably only be determined by whoever is riding with you ;)
