Reason: Kelly met Max through Ben after the famous bar fight, and was a little intimidated by the older girl. She likes her well enough, and looks up to her, but is far to scared to actually talk to her. Both Ben and Max see Kelly as a little sister and watch out for her, but Kelly sees the chemestry between them, even if they don't, and prefers to hide in the wings.
