James noticed Kelly quickly hide whatever it was she had just been looking at, but decided not to say anything, as she was obviously in no mood to share it with him. “I’m fine James, just a fall, nothing broken I should think. James nodded his agreement, still a little concerned about his young friend’s well being, but not wanting to push the issue he simply cocked his head slightly and peered at her through lowered lids. "Maybe I'll walk you home, just to be sure. I'm heading that way any how, and I wouldn't like to face your brother, or parents for that matter, should they hear I let their daughter wander around town after having just witnessed her fall." James didn’t wait for her reply as he turned slightly, gesturing with his arms for her to walk ahead of him. He knew she would be irritated by his gallantry, but He also knew her well enough to know she wouldn’t hold a grudge or even be irritated at him by the time they reached her parents café |
