The Woman In Charge

[size=7]The history of Hatton High [/size] In the year 1720, a young man by the name of Edwardian Hatton and his brother Jameth began to question the limits those around him had placed on their minds. Wondering why people were content to simply exist without ever trying to gain further knowledge, Edwardian began concentrating all his energies on expanding his thinking and on the power of his mind. After only a decade of hard work and training, Edward and Jameth witnessed their first sign of success. They managed to move a pebble almost a whole foot using the power of their minds. Many years later, Edwardian and his brother were joined on their quest for knowledge by a young woman who called herself Sara. Together they searched for the key to controlling their own minds ability. Edwardian Hatton the Fifth decided to set up a school for individuals wishing to expand their thinking, but the school only lasted a year before Hatton was accused of witchcraft and hunted down. After fleeing his home followed by several individuals dedicated to his work, Hatton re-established his school in secret, and it still exists today. The school teaches students aged fourteen to eighteen and offers night courses to ex-students. Upon entering Hatton High for the first time, Students are assigned a house based on their abilitys and achievements outside the walls of Hatton High. The three houses are dedicated to those three pioneers. Edwardian~ Vitreus: To those dedicated to the search for knowledge, truth and wisdom and the control of their own mind. Sara~ Ardesco: To those intent on expanding their physical limits. Jameth~Terrenus: To those dedicated to the growth and control of the world around them. Now, there is an entire township surrounding the school all of whom have had the privilege of attending Hatton High. They do, of course, not advertise the school or their abilities to "tourists" or "guests" to the area. Today, the school stands on a cliff at the peak of the town in an undisclosed location. The decedents of those first few followers make up the stronger students due to the tireless work of their ancestors, and among them is Mr James Hatton, the last of the Hatton line. The students have now managed through their own training and that of their ancestors to overcome the restrictions of the average man or woman and have mastered the art of bending, changing their environment by sheer will power. Traditionally, the woman dispaly the stronger powers, as for some reason they find it easier to overcome their limitations. There is nothing magical about what they do; it is simply a matter of science! |
