Imagine you’re on a plane heading towards England from LAX. You get your ticket, put your luggage away and get on board. Everything seems to be perfectly normal; nothing out of the ordinary at all. People from all around the world, of different nationalities, on one single airplane for a common purpose – to get the hell out of Los Angeles and travel back to Europe. For some of those people, it was to return home. But for others, well, it could have simply been a connecting flight that would have eventually taken them back to wherever their home was, or they were just going on a vacation to England. Whatever the reason was, they all came together for some kind of reason, and eventually, they would stay together for that purpose.

An average time and date right? Just another thing that became a routine and repetitive like most things in today’s world. But this year, that time and date would be something remembered by the world. The flight had been progressing as it had been, and the flight attendants had just finished passing out the in-flight snacks and drinks. Most of the passengers were taking naps or quietly listening to music while they flew at some kind of thousand degree altitude – they weren’t expecting for the unreal to happen. Nobody ever expects or is prepared for the unreal, even when it’s so possible that it can happen. Even when it was going to happen at exactly three fifty-four in the afternoon on November twenty-third.

All of a sudden, out of nowhere, a crash of turbulence hit the plane. Passengers were jolted awake from their sleep. Family, friends, and loved ones clung onto each other as bags began to fall from the overhead compartments and the entire plane began to fall from the sky. It couldn’t have lasted for more than forty-five seconds, but the passengers of this flight, it felt like a lifetime. Which is what exactly flashed before many of their eyes.

After all of the noise had died down, and eerie quiet had taken over the passengers. Many of them, the alive ones at least, found themselves on a beach. Where was this beach? Well… that was something they still don’t know. But they were alive, which isn’t what could be said for some of the other passengers. The plane was still burning, and derbies, luggage, and other kind of personal things were strewn around the sand. What’s next for the survivors? While some of the older passengers have appointed themselves as leaders for the small group of survivors, many of the rest have formed friendships with each other. But secrets are lying beneath everything. Who knows what your new friend is really like? What happens when lying, cheating, deceit and scandal are happening left and right? What’s going to happen when people stop being civilized and things get a bit more… tribal?

Will the remaining passengers be able to survive harsh reality? And, more importantly, each other?
