I will know if you don't read these. Trust me. Hatton Heights Before I start listing out the rules, I would like to thank you for joining us at [HH] and bothering to read the rules. We, or at least I, really appreciate the fact that you're joining. I mean, you joining proves to me that this site doesn't suck that much after all! Registration __&When you register, please do not register with random letters and or symbols. Sign up with a first and last name, this is important. Joe Smith is acceptable, but kitty_cat1995 will be deleted. Names like 'H. McCoy' will be deleted but names like 'Helen Anna McCoy' are fine. __&If you want to be a canon, make sure you check the list before you register. Canon accounts have already been set up, so you will need to PM Professor Larcombe if you wish to playa canon. __&Do not add anything other than your character's name into the account name. No symbols or numbers, please. Also, no nicknames. __&If you're applying for a teacher, do not put Mrs. McCoy or Professor McCoy as the account name. Just put the teacher's first and last name. That actually goes for students as well. No Student Helen McCoy whatsoever, all right? Your name will be changed to Professor McCoy if you are accepted. __&Perhaps you play twins? Okay, but you'll need to make two separate accounts for them. No Helen and Jean McCoy, all right? If you make such an account, we will delete without warning. It goes for everyone else, only one character per account. __&Each person is allowed up to 4 characters, and don't think we don't have a way of finding out whether or not you've got more! Signature and Avatars __&After you've been accepted, you'll need to put a picture of your celebrity in your signature or avatar. If you don't, you will not be able to claim your celebrity. __&Avatars should be under 110 pixels by 110 pixels, or else it'll be taken off. __&Only one image will be allowed in your signature. But if you're using avatars, then you can have up to 6 of them. But if you would like more, then you'll have to put them together into one image. __&Signatures should not be over 500 pixels by 250 pixels, because we don't want pictures spreading the screen everywhere. In Character __&This board is rated M, meaning that some violence, minor sexual activity and some bad language will be involved up to a certain point. This is your warning. We do not allow the F-word or C-word and if your character swears obsessively, you will receive a warning. We also do not allow sexually explicate content, although ‘make out’ scenes are fine. Use common sense people, An admin will read every line of every post that is written, so break the rules and we will know. __&Sometimes, people would 'tag' the threads. If it is tagged, you should not post in it, only because it is rude to. But, if the thread participants agree that you could join, of course, you can go ahead and role-play away. __&This site is semi-literate to advance. If you don't like that rule, then leave. It is difficult to role-play properly when improper grammar, incorrect punctuation and bad spelling are used by others. __&No one-liners are allowed. Your post should at least be two paragraphs. I mean, we understand when you have writers' block, but even WB can't prevent you from writing at least two short paragraphs, right? One-liners are horrible, because we role-players spend a lot of time typing up each post, and all we get is a single line in reply? That's unfair. __&There is to be no god-moding of any sort. God-moding is taking control of another characters actions in your post E.G:
Don't do it. You aren't Sally, you don't know what she would say or do. __&Do not double post. You can always edit your post if there is something you wish to add or change. __&When you have finished writing your application, but we spot mistakes, we will post there and tell you. You will have two chances, to edit them. If you don't edit them within one week, we will remove your application and. __&When you have registered, you will be given one month to write your application. After one month, we will delete your character if you have not posted your application. Slang writing/ bad punctuation is not acceptable. Please write properly. Out Of Character __&Most important rule: Respect other role-players. It is very rude to suddenly go up to someone and call them a bitch, even if it is in computer. CODE 1; Special. An Admin will let you know if you have been disrespectfull, and if it happens to often you will be banned. __&Please try to be as active as possible. If you are leaving, then tell one of us admins; because it will be rude if you just left without notice. If you're going on holiday, then go ahead and post in the inactivity board. Extras __&If you want to advertise your board, you'll have to link back to us and post in the advertising board with a small icon of your site. The icon is for us to link to you. __&Of course, this is a must-obey rule (But you have to obey the others, too!): HAVE FUN! There! That wasn't so bad! Now sign up and have a ball! |
