Okay, so, most places have a street gang that does car racing, pimping, fighting etc. You could call em rebels, and then you'd hit straight on. Anyway, my point is; why don't this one have one too? Well, this is what this topic/plot is about. Your character a definite rebel or a car lover? Well, then he/she'll fit right in. Just sign him/her in :D Furthermore, the gang is called the Throwbacks. Weird name, but it's just a name that got stuck with them through the years. Everyone calls em that, so, what's the point in changing it? "The Throwbacks. Somehow that’s the name everyone seemed to agree on. It’s not like we have the name sewn onto the backs of our jackets, or matching signature tattoos or anything stupid like that. It wasn’t official to us. In fact, we aren’t even the ones who decided on the name. People just started to call us that, and it stuck with us. I guess you can say they’re right; we are considered the throwbacks of society, the good-for-nothings, the punks, the outcasts, the ‘mislead’, the bad lot, the wrong crowd . . . you get the picture." It's got pretty many members, one "king" or "queen. He/She is the rulers of the gang. He/She decide what they're gonna do, how, where and when, just like in every other gang. Yet, he/she don't go boss and bitch people around. He/She is actually quite friendly. You see, the Throwbacks isn't about being a gang or causing havoc. It's about survival. It's a hard world out there on the streets, or in the slums, so why not create a safe place, where you can get protection and friends? It's more like a brotherhood where you can have fun and just live. "There’s really no such thing as a ‘captain’ in the gang. Everybody is their own person, basically, and we don’t actually give or take orders. But we need someone for guidance, and all of us know that. If nobody stepped up to take control, then we’d fall apart or end up doing something stupid like get caught up with the police. Where we come from, all we have is each other, and we can’t afford to not get along. It’s stick together or be stranded alone with no protection. None of us want to admit it, but we all depend on each other for more than just friendship." Though, just cause they're nice to each other, doesn't mean that they're nice to others. They don't follow rules, and they don't hold back what they think about you. Most fear them, while others just stay away from them. "Even the teachers don’t like walking past us in the halls, and I’d be lying if I said we didn’t have a lot of fun being pains in the ass. We like to make scenes, shake things up a bit, go a little nuts. Somebody’s gotta make life interesting, right? Outside of school, people cross the street to avoid us, especially if we look like we’re in a rowdy mood." They are the bain of Micheal Thomas existence. As the Towns chief Night-Watchman, or Law and order man, it is his job to try and keep the gang out of trouble, not an easy task considering they enjoy the protection of Professor Larcombe, The Principal of Hatton Heights and the woman the town looks to for guidance. "It isn't that she approves of what we do, but she knows we mean no harm, and Thomas tends to overreact, we only stole his patrol car that one time, and he has been on our case ever since. I mean, the man needs to get a hobby or something, cause it borders on obsession, you know what i mean?" As for the gangs history, well, it's not a fairytale, that's for sure. They used to have just another leader, known as Zane, whom everyone loved. He was the one everyone looked up to, no matter what. Unluckily though, he got shot in the streets by the cops for about a month ago, killed instantly. After this, the gang suffered from a nervous breakdown. Nothing ever was the same after that. Instantly, they all looked to Zane's best friend for direction, and he now became the new leader. His name is [???]. "He was gentler than the rest of us, and since we liked him so much we had no problem backing down when he told us off. He was never forceful, but he didn’t need to be. He got his message across loud and clear without ever raising a fist. He was the kind of guy who would help an old lady with her groceries if he saw that she was having trouble. He’d dive in the middle of a busy highway to rescue a puppy from getting run over. When he was shot last year, we all missed him awfully. He was our rock, and the group has never been the same since then. It’s not easy to fill in for him, but I always remember that he tried to bring out the best of us and make us feel like we were more than just street hoodlums." Now though, the gang are working on getting over the loss and getting back to livin'. They do many car races a week, and have one main car that Max and the leader made for them, along with another one. They're probably one of the fastest cars out there, and are mainly used for a major big event. The gang also does some high-jacking, stealing and pimping, but mostly fighting or car racing. History of joining: Secretly, Leora has always been good at racing motorcycles. She divulged this hidden talent to her best friend Max who in turn got her involved in the Throwbacks. Anything else: The only one who knows who she really is, is Max. Everyone else knows her as Artemis. (The girl wears a disguise) - Name: Ben Nickname: Year: 3rd House: Ardesco Age: 17 Powers: Strength, Agility. Rebel or not: Rebel! Three words to describe you: Tough, energetic, charming. Status in the gang: Vice-Captain, Sub-mechanic. Somewhere along the line he also became the groups voice of reason, and often helps work the problems out of there insane plans. How long have you been a member: Since Zane would let him the day he turned 13, but only in an honorary role. They wouldn’t let actually hang out with them till he was 15, and they wouldn’t let him drive with them till he was 16. History of joining: Ben knew Zane since he was a little kid. He used to really look up to the older boy, so it was inevitable that he would join them as soon as Zane would allow him to. Anything else: Nope. - Name: Daniel Nickname: Dan Year: 2nd House: Terrenus Age: 15 but he told the gang he was 16 so they would let him drive. Powers: Mind control, sort of Rebel or not: Rebel! History of joining: joined because it looked like his scene and because the town life style was driving him mad. Plus a tiny bit of revenge in there to. Max and him are pretty much like siblings, so, course she mentioned him to the gang. But, well, that wasn't really needed. He got in when they just took one look at him; definite rebel. How long have you been a member: James has always been excepted into any group in Hatton Heights, largely due to his last name. He is a member, though often 'sits out' on races and what not, prefering just to hang with the gang. |
