It is the year 2343. In a world full of war, the children have become the hopes of their nations. Each state has three or four Battle Schools, where children can be taught to lead armies, both military and diplomatic. Schools where every graduate gets a high earning job.

In Homicide, Louisiana, they believe in preparing children for disappointment or approval from an early age. As early as sixth grade, the children of Homicide can be made for life, or totally shot down, depending on three factors: talent, good looks, and pure hard cash.

Homicide High consists of four schools on one campus, supplying education to a range of students, from the all rounders in Battle School, whom everyone wants to be, to the jock-geeks in B-block, the 'dead-beats' in A-Block, and the cute lil learners in Junior High. Each group forming its own gang to duke it out with each of the others.

Don't be lulled into a sense of understanding though. A kid from A-Block can get into Battle School, and a Battle Schooler of the right- or wrong- age can easily be kicked back into mainstream education. In Homicide, where you get placed depends on whether or not your brain is Dead On Arrival
