[size=4]Aya stared in the window of the ice-cream parlour. Her eyes were wide with delight as she surveyed the different types of ice-creams at the counter. They didn't have ice-cream parlours at her old town, at least not the bit she lived in. In fact she had never even seen an ice-cream parlour in real life before, now she lived right next to one! Aya slipped her hand into her denim pocket and rooted around for change and pulled out some money. She reckoned she had enough. Stepping back from the window she made her way to the door and walked in. The sweet smell of fresh ice-cream hit her hard and she bit her lip with delight. She loved ice-cream. It definately had to be one of her major weaknesses. Aya walked briskly to the counter and put her hands on the glass, staring at the ice-cream before her. There was so many. Strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, mint, cookie cream, hazelnut, double chocolate flake and all her usuals. Then one's she had never tried. Banana, Kiwi, Bubblegum, tutti-frutti! Aya bit her lip and tried to decide what to get. [/size] |

Kelly was a dutiful girl, always quick to follow her mother’s instruction, therefore when she was asked to take a coffee down to the Ice-cream parlor of the resident Ice-man, she did exactly as she was bid. As she wandered down the road, she couldn’t help but notice a certain amount of trepidation on the faces of those she passes, and she wondered what could have possibly happened to cause the people of Hatton to fear... anything. it wasn't as though any threat could stand up to the sheer force of the combined capabilities of the towns residence. Unless the threat was that of being revealed to the outside world, then she was sure they had reason to fear, though it couldn't possibly be that, Professor Larcombe would have warned them for certain. So entering the coffee shop, Kelly was thinking more about the people outside then those within the small shop, so it was no surprise when she nearly toppled over another girl peering into the small display cabinet. "I am dreadfully sorry!" Kelly was not used to being caught off guard, and it wasn't a feeling she enjoyed, so it took her an extra second to realize she did not know the girl sanding before her. "Oh, hello. You must be new here. What’s you name?" Kelly was a fan of questions. The more questions you asked the more you learnt. |

[size=3]Aya was innocently staring at all the ice-cream when she felt someone banging into her and nearly toppling over. She let out a little, "Eep!" and spun around to see what had caused her sudden shock. Aya stared at the girl in front of her as she talked and listened carefully. Her accent was so odd and different from what she was used to, Aya smiled politely and answered. "No bother," she smiled, the Scottish accent she gained from living in Glasgow her whole life stood out more here than it did back home, "I'm Aya," she smiled, "Just moved here from Scotland." Aya said tilting her head. It was odd. People would be so confused if they came into her house. They lived in America. Her gran spoke american, her dad spoke english and her and her sister both her scottish accents. Yet all of them were Japanese.[/size] |
