(Lola) Female![]() Her Home ![]() (Pascal) Male ![]() His Home ![]() Both ![]() A little about their cages -Both stand 6ft tall with the cage part measuring 2'x2'x4 -They are made out of wood and aluminum screen. the wood is painted with a rubberized paint. -On the bottom of the cages there is a 4inch hole for drainage -Pascal's cage has the braided Ficus and Lola has the multi-Ficus -The plants are sitting on a homedepot bucket lid with multiple holes drilled for drainage and the lids are raised off the bottom to allow for better draiange for the entire cage. I raised them off the bottom with Gatorade caps -The holes are double screened(on the inside and one on the bottom), underneath to catch the water I have a 3 gallon bucket. -Both have a ladder to climb up off the bottom if they somehow get down there -I made feeders out of Gatorade bottles, plastic screening, hot glue, super glue, and duct tape. I used the glue to hold the screen in and duct tape on the cut edges to prevent injuries and to hide the insects from the outside so that the chameleons cant see them unless they are right infront of the feeder. Testing it with Mealworms, Silkworms, and Hornworms. Mealworms can climb the mesh surprizingly well. -Lighting consist of a 30" light fixture with a 24" 5.0 Repti-glo (i think) UV bulb. its kind of blue for my taste. these are placed diagonally across the cages, one each -For basking i used metal shop lights with clamps, rated for up to 75 watts. I am using 40watt incandescent bulbs. they produce enough warmth IMO for a noticable temp difference between the basking spot and the rest of the enclosure The next upgrade most likely will be a Mistking system. (hopefully) this weekend i will put my cool mist humidifier on both cages. ![]() ![]() ![]() If youve seen my other posts you might recognize it from what im using this for my Tokays ![]() With the drip/rain system and the fogger it made it too moist. misting once to twice a week keeps the humidity around 80 Edited by c2c, Feb 29 2012, 12:32 PM.

Thanks. I have that so that they can get back up to their tree if they ever fall or climb down off it using the screen. Kind of like cats and how they can always find their way up into a tree but never find their way down. |
