HISTORY IN THE MAKING 2008-2016

Good luck!

We've spent a good many years discussing politics, life, society and history. Most of all, the makers of history. The great events that changed the world - people, places, actions. Small acts have changed its hard-worn course, and effort and circumstance can make of its small actors immortal greats. In line with that sentiment, it seems pertinent now to recognize the potential of those who've made up this community for years, obvious through their contributions to the spirited debate and discussion that has proceeded here. HITM has sadly gone silent, though perhaps not lacking for things to say about making history, but rather for the realization that it is time we all commenced to do so, and make our mark.

Good luck to you all, see you in the history books!

I guess..... I do see some really good stuff on there though. When I actually get the opportunity to watch it.
"There are strange things done in the midnight sun,
by the men who moil for gold; the arctic trails have their secret tales that'd make your blood run cold...
the Northern Lights have seen queer sights, but the queerest they ever did see...
was that night on the marge of Lake LeBarge, that I cremated Sam McGee."

You must be kidding me. The History Channel is so Leftist. Their Global Warming propaganda makes me sick!

I assumed that the American one was similar.... excuse me.
And maybe because it's mostly American propaganda?
Honestly, plenty of amazing Canadian aces, but Dogfights always features either Werner Voss or this american ace......

Define "American propaganda". Leftist or Rightist propaganda?

And I don't watch the History Channel that often. I just watch it if something interesting is on. Heck, I haven't even watched it in months!

Mostly it's just boring stuff about wars and airplanes. :S

Just a general pro american bias. Treats it like they won the war alone.
Yea, Canadian history channel is much more interesting. Once I saw a documentary on the SS in the East, and it was really interesting. And they had a former SS guy appear on show, and he still buys into the propaganda that the jews were the enemy of Germany.

Hmmm...OMG I can't remember anything! :o

No, no - I think it was the History Channel. They had a documentary about some Mars voyage or whatever, and talked about how Mars could be transformed into a planet much like Earth.

I don't watch the Discovery channels.

Sure? Discovery did have this whole docudrama thing going on Called "Race to Mars" which sounds a lot like what you're describing.

The only thing I've ever watched on Discovery was about tigers. I'm pretty sure the Mars thing was on the History Channel, but I can't remember its name.
