Ok guys, I am attempting to compile a list, this is what i need to do. The ten ages of humanity. From beginning to current. In each age, the top 10 most important events. Only the first event is the most important of that age, the others should be in no order. Then those top events from each age will be used to form the top 10 most important events in human history. I am compiling my list and hope to post it within a month (I have three essays and a 50+ page labreport to finish.,..0, but until then, I figured I'd see what HITM has to say about this. Who is up to the challange? Post your lists... This is the Ultimate history thread. |

Now that is a challenge. Permanent cities are built. Hinduism is founded. Judaism is founded. Rome falls. Gunpowder. Islam is founded. Eastern Roman Empire falls. Renaissance. Americas discovered. Industrial Revolution. Computers. |

We still need the 10 ages, and the 10 top events per age... you can do only one age, needs a start and end date. |

Well lets start with breaking it down into the ten ages. 1. Stone Age (10000 BCE - 3500 BCE) 2. Bronze Age (3500 BCE - 700 BCE) 3. Iron Age (700 BCE - 300 BCE) 4. Antiquity (300 BCE - 500 CE) 5. Medieval Age (500 - 1500) 6. Renaissance (1500 - 1600 ) 7. Enlightenment Age (1600 - 1800) 8. Industrial Age (1800 - 1945) 9. Modern Age (1945 - 1990) 10. Information Age (1990 - Present) At least, that's what I'm assuming. |

I'm not very good with dates.... but I can give you some ideas on where to start: - Digital Age 1960- present -Internet is founded on the pornography industry. (seriously, that's where it came from) |

Seriously, you're lying. The internet was founded so there would be a way to communicate quickly if the Soviets attacked us. You are a fucking ignorant fool. |

Commercial internet then. I had a technology dean from one of the most prestigious universities in Canada, the U of Alberta, come and talk to us about it in our Multimedia class. Commercial internet was, in fact FOUNDED ON PORNOGRAPHY. Well.... U of A isn't recognized for tehcnology, but it has some of the most advanced medical in the world, and is a primetime stop for complicated surgeries. |

My illiterate friend, he's a university professor, and he knows what he's talking about. It's confirmed by most of the other professionals in that faculty, and my CMM teachers. I don't believe people that blindly
